Everyone went deathly silent at the general’s warning, even me.

“She’s a w***e,” someone said, but I couldn’t figure out who it was seeing as they were deep within the crowd.
“She is the Alpha’s mate, and as his pack, we are sworn to respect him. And even if she wasn’t, it is not your place to judge her. You all know the nonsense you get involved in privately. Go home, don’t make this any worse than it has to be.”
