“Hey, that’s the murder’s friend.”
“Alex right?”
“Did you heard the taekwondo club has a new president?”
“The girl right? I was waiting for her to lead. She’s better than that monster.”
Alex sat down at Ryan's seat while looking at the desk. Not surprised to see people vandalism on the desk and wrote the cursed word. As if Ryan would see it. Alex pulls out his handkerchief and starts to clean the desk.
“Ryan you idiot.”
As the sun starts to rise, a guy is watching the news and a sigh escape from his lips. He switches the tv off and pushes his wheelchair. “Mr Leo, did you saw the doctor from yesterday? And can you stay in your room?” He stuck his tongue out to the nurse and went to the hospital park to take fresh air.
“Leo. Let’s talk.”
He turns his wheelchair and faced the eyebags guy. They went to Leo’s room and Leo starts doing his school work. “What is it-” Alex shoves a paper to Leo. “...Someone invites you to play without knowing you already play? Who is it?” Alex gulped and looks at the door. The door slides open and reveals a person.
“Good day Mr Leo and Alex!”
“Are you serious…”
Ryan looks down and tries to avoid looking at people walking past. His hood covers his face as he looks at his phone. ‘They will track my phone soon. I should get any info I can and leave this phone.’ He stops in an alleyway and looks through his phone. He heard a noise and throws his phone before searching for a place to hide. He ends up behind a big trash can and heard the conversation.
“You are the Taekwondo new president-”
“Oh yes! You’re the new member! Amy right?”
The two girl talks awkwardly and when the president decides to turn and leave, Amy pulls something from her back. The president caught her hand and glares at her. “What do you think you’re doing? I invite you to play it not to backstab me.” Amy throw punches and Ryan watches the two girls fighting.
‘Amy- is using boxer moves. But the girl is faster on feet. No surprise she replaces me. Wait, what did she mean by invite you to play…” Widing his eyes, he realizes Amy is holding a cutter.
In a blink of eyes, the unknown strong girl teleports behind Amy and takes the cutter. Her hands went near Amy’s throat and she slides the cutter. Blood splatter near Ryan as he covers his mouth. ‘Teleport!’ Amy’s body falls on the ground and a white paper falls.
The girl takes the paper and fixes her hair. “Hah, another superpower…” She keeps the paper and walks away. Ryan let himself breathe normally and sighs. “Do I look cool, president?” Ryan screams a bit before covering his mouth again. He faced the girl who appears behind him without him knows and wide his eyes.
“President. Do you want a hand?”
Alex plays with his fingers before Thalia takes the school work from Leo. She gave them a smile and leaves. “She just came here to take my work-” Alex bites his lips in frustration and ignores Leo. “I told you! She’s the one who invites me-” Leo close his eyes and smile.
“I am not surprised.”
Alex felt himself sweating in nervousness. Leo opens his eyes again and looks at Alex. “Aren’t you suppose to be at school?” He watches as the eyebags boy gave him a long sigh. “The teacher said I should take some rest after losing my mother. I have two days off.” Leo moves his body and Alex opens his mouth in shock.
“Let’s go save our friend. Shall we?”
Leo is standing and his hand is holding Alex’s shoulder. Alex smiles and clenches his fist with determination. “Let me tell you about the power I have and some info.” He never heard the newbie had power. He changes into his hoodie and sat down next to Alex. “Tell me everything you know.”
Humming to the music, the girl finishes cooking and puts it in front of Ryan. Ryan stares at the food before he starts to eat it. “My name is Mira. This is my shelter. You could use it as a place to live until you complete your challenge.” Ryan looks around and finished his food.
“Why are you helping me?”
He saw the girl smiling and she sat in front of him.
“You are my favourite player.”
Thalia drops the school works Leo did to Class C teacher before going to her own class. She looks for her friend Amy but failed to find her anywhere. She sat down and saw a paper inside her friend’s desk. She pulls it out and froze.
‘Target: Club President’
‘Don’t tell me she-’
Leo and Alex walk out from the hospital with Alex leading. “Are you sure?” Leo asks the guy. “Yeah. My power tells me a girl from our school helps Ryan and gave him shelter to lived. She helps him kill his target but then she kills him after that. But...what does she get from killing Ryan if Ryan is not her target?”
“It’s kinda like achievement or side quest. Or to steals.”
“Steal?”
“You can steal everything or one thing from a player depends on the first player of course if you kill a player without them being your target.”
Stopping himself, Alex turns his body and looks at Leo. “How did you get your ability to walks again?” He saw a smile formed on Leo’s face. “I steal it from the doctor.” Leo continues walking and uses his power to search for Ryan. “I felt Ryan’s emotion but a bit far.”
Alex follows slowly from behind while using his power to walks in front again and lead Leo. After a few minutes of walking, Leo chuckle at the building they’re looking at and Alex looks at him in confusion. Leo’s eyes starts to change colour as he starts scanning the house.
“Whoever you are...how dare you had the nerve…”
The girl walks out of the house and faced Leo.
“To change the look and use Leon’s house as a shelter to get on Ryan’s good side.”
