“Tommy," Emilia whispered. She knelt down on the floor of his loft, picking up a shard of broken glass. “What happened here?" Dulcinea asked, clamoring up the fire escape. Emilia had seen the broken glass from the street and had climbed up ahead of her familiar. There was a glistening strip of crimson on the edge of the glass shard. Emilia sniffed it. “Is that Tommy's blood?" Dulcinea asked, her voice panicked. “No," Emilia said. “Amun's." “H-how did that happen?" Dulcinea asked. Emilia didn't respond. She stood up and looked around the rest of the loft. Some of Tommy's clothes were missing. There were some scuff marks on the floor near the window.
