Audrey's POV
After the dead crows had all been taken care of, we were all ordered to continue working. Me? Working on a farm? Who would have ever thought? I would have taken off long ago but that would mean the Alpha would find out I refused to obey his orders and I left. I couldn't risk ruining my carefully built image in front of him. He still needs to see me as the perfect girl he knows, that way, I was sure I would have his approval when things finally get serious between Owen and me.
All I had to do was suck it up and try to be patient but that itself wasn't working. I threw the rake I was holding away angrily and walked away. I hadn't seen Owen or Nolan throughout today. I decided to search for them instead. If they weren't at the farm, there was no need for me to be there either.
