I headed back to the farm after Audrey's arrival. The vibe I was getting from her was not encouraging, and I felt like if I had stayed any longer, she would have created a scene. I didn't want any unnecessary attention.
"Gen, are you okay now? You looked so pale earlier. I was worried you were sick," Jade said as they both approached me immediately. They saw me coming.
"I'm fine," I replied with a smile.
"That's a relief. You gave us quite a scare. Never do that again," Andrea said, as they both pulled me into a tight hug.
