She shot into the air, her wings unfurling without her command again. Her hair darkened and her eyes turned golden. A fairy gasped.  “Look behind her!” “No way! Is that…” “That’s one...two... three… ten halos!” The Duke of the Selkies exclaimed. She thought being bonded would feel like shackles but she was surprisingly fine. All the dukes were. And Meryl’s ten halos… it was nothing short of a miracle.  Five halos, they expected but ten, she was stronger than 60 percent of the population.
