The days without Sylin passed quietly. Duke Hephit hovered around the palace but never got too close with Meryl. Counselor Bim locked himself up in the library to research so Meryl had to self-study. She only ate lunch with Daph and in their spare time, helped her with her many experiments. With everything that had been happening in her life, it was a calm time.
This calm was broken one day when Counselor Bim finally emerged from the library looking like a hobo. Meryl almost hit herself for thinking he was still attractie like that when the bags under his eyes could be used as a purse.
