The doll landed beside him and nothing happened. Just when Meryl thought it was the end, the doll got up and began to dance. It looked like ballroom dancing which the thin foot of the fairy was equipped for.
This finally caught Hephit’s attention. His eyes lingered on the doll, suspicion in them. He watched it dance, fly up in the air and twirl.
“What happens next?”
“Wait for it…”
Hephit couldn’t resist reachin for the doll. He grabbed it and it stopped dancing. He tugged on the string and it withdrew from Daph’s hands and like an elastic string, rolled into the doll.
“NOW!”
The doll exploded and in it was another fairy drenched in blood and corruption. Hephit screamed and threw it away. He sank into the shadows without a trace. The two fell out of the bushes, laughing hard.
