The rattling from the cage continued. Despite the amount of spells he used to keep the creature intact in the metal cage, it still continued growing. A single white cloth covered it from being seen by others but it was basically useless to really perceptive fairies like Hephit.
“It really felt like he was asking me to give up researching you guys. I’m too curious to do so. I want to know more about you. So, be still and let me do my job, okay?”
The cage rattled even more violently. He sighed and stood up. The throb in his temple came back in full force but he didn’t suppress it, immediately retrieving his spell book. After chanting two full pages, the cage calmed again.
