Meryl’s commands were simple, crude even but in the time of crisis, it was more than helpful. Because of that, the fairies were able to regain their head and press onwards. The light pushed the creatures back, the fire making them unwilling to move even further. In front of the charge was an unhinged Hephit, swinging his sword while avoiding dozens of tentacles. He moved like a fish in water, avoiding predators while going for his prey. His movements were so precise that they awed even Meryl. He was so good that he avoided the sludge that came from their bodies when they were hit. However, in the wake of his amazing movements, a dryad was plucked from where they stood and pulled into the midst of the creatures. Meryl watched as they were torn apart and eaten without a single scrap left.
