The incident spread like wildfire and so did the actions of Fairy Princess Meryl. She saved Yggdrasil but she was also ruthless in breaking the wings of the three dukes without batting an eyelash. The dukes were behind the corruption of Yggdrasil and if left to their devices, they would’ve killed all the fairies for their own purpose but was it really the right thing to do?
“Meryl, you should at least… address the people.”
“And give an apology for breaking their wings?”
“... Perhaps… that would be best.”
All of them were surprised that Meryl was back to her normal self yet she felt no remorse for breaking their wings.
“I crippled them so they can’t hurt anybody else. What should I be sorry for?”
“You condemned them to death.”
“Oh well, these things happen.”
