Oh! He left. He had successful surgery. The nurse replied and smiled at Leah. Great! Leah could finally breathe, I'm asking because he had the same ailment as my sister. She genuinely smiled as she explained to the nurse.

Oh! I know now, you don't have to worry your sister will be fine once the surgery is done, you’ll get her back on her feet again. The nurse reassured Leah and then left after checking her vitals and the routine check-up.

Leah was left alone with her sister and she started talking to her as she could hear her. Hi Lilith, I know you don't like this bed. You've never really liked hospitals, but don't worry, you'll be out soon, okay.

Tomorrow I’ll be going for an interview. I don't know if I should call that interview because I'm supposed to be a surrogate mother. Mom doesn't know. Yeah right, I can't tell her, you know mom. She'll never agree to it.

But if they choose me tomorrow, it means we can finally have the money for surgery. I just hope they do.

After Leah was done talking, she stayed with Lilith for a while, then she finally went back home.

Today is finally here. Leah could barely even sleep. She hurriedly got up and prepared breakfast.

This time around, she woke up before her mom. She made milk tea and dumplings. When she finished, her mom was already up.

She dressed up and called Brittany, hey! Bri “im ready, are you also ready? Almost, just hold on. I’m coming over to pick you up. Wait are you driving Bri? Yeah. Brittany said as she hung up.

When she got to Leah's place, Leah’s mom had already left. She was trying to eat the remaining food on the kitchen table when Leah came out with the blue dress she had chosen the previous day.

Oh Leah, you can't go with your hair like that, Brittany said as she stuffed all the food in her mouth.

She stood up and got Leah to sit down, she hurriedly used the hot comb and hair stretcher to pack her. She packed the hair up form a bun while the tips we’re all curly. She let two strands of her hair fall in front, and then she curled them.

After she was done, Leah looked beautiful like a sunflower, as the sun reflected on her skin. Oh! Wow! “You look soo beautiful Leah”. Brittany smiled at her and applied red lipstick on her, which complemented her looks.

When they got to the place, it was crowded, and because of that they had to start scanning from the entrance. Their boss asked them to qualify whoever wasn't beautiful and well-dressed.

That helped to reduce the crowd, as most of the people were found outside wandering about.

Leah and Brittany were both allowed inside. Of course, they were both beautiful, although Brittany had a nice fragrance on her, Leah had this aura that oozed around her even though she was nervous.

When they all got inside, they all sat down in a hall waiting to be called. Because of the crowd, once you'd been attended to, you had to leave immediately and although the time was set for 10am, they started immediately.

When they sat down they were finally able to admire how magnificent the building is.

It was well-lit with plenty of natural light. It had comfortable furniture and a clean, clutter-free workspace. The walls were painted in calming, neutral tones, and there was tasteful artwork on the walls. The plants in the surroundings also added a nice touch of greenery and help purify the air. All in all, the building is one that is aesthetically pleasing and conducive to productivity.

While Leah was gazing at the scenery through the glasses that could serve as windows, Brittany was beckoned on and Leah gave her thumbs up.

When she got to the office she was in a daze and couldn't believe that Mr. Radcliffe was sitting in front of her.

Miss! Miss! Brittany was finally brought back to reality by his HRM Miss. Ava, although she was married before she was divorced, apparently her ex-husband tried to swindle her off her money, but Mr Radcliffe helped her out. That's how they became friends and, ever since then, she's been his most trusted employee and a friend.

So tell us, miss, why do you think we should pick you from other girls?

Well, uhm… I meet the requirements. That's why I got to this stage. Brittany smartly answered her," I've always admired Mr Radcliffe and whatever he says, I'll do it. Brittany just kept on-explaining how she had admired him, just like every other girl.

While she was doing all of this, he just kept pressing his phone, he didn't even spare her a glance.

Alright! We’ll get back to you! Please use this exit. Miss Ava said as she smiled at her, while pointing to the direction which was different from the one she used while entering.

While Brittany was in there, a familiar figure stood right in front of Leah, simmering with rage, as she looked up.

She recognized her, it was the lady from the mall yesterday. She smiled at her, and gave her a demeaning look. Well, look who we have here. Let's see how you'll make it for the interview.

Leah sneered at her and replied, I'm so scared, will you beat me? You better not dream of it.

She stumped her feet and was walking away. Suddenly she started screaming, then one of the securities rushed over.

Security, this girl had just got here, and she refused to sit behind, take her out, he was about holding Leah when she stood up, rolled her eyes at her, then she explained to the officer.

“Hold on if I'm late, then let me sit at the back”. Then the security nodded and allowed her to go. The girl could be seen smiling and then she walked away.

Leah heaved a sigh and watched as everyone slowly went in for their turn. She decided to take a sneak peek as the last person went in.

Sorry, where's your restroom? Leah asked the security guy because they wouldn't let her in except if she’s been called, and she could decipher that that girl wouldn't call her because, for some reason unbeknownst to her.
