The school hall was filled with tables and chairs and everyone gathered for their evening meal, Cook Lisa and Rosemary had the stew in large pots on the tables near the drinks and baked a variety of buns and loafs for everyone and placed them along the centre of each table. The children had found that some weeds looked pretty and wanted to bring them back to place in glasses on the tables for everyone to see. Freddy was especially proud of his glass full, which he placed directly in front of John and Ellie. "Mr Gammar Sir, do you like my pretty flowers?" he asked John as he stood back from the table taking in the position of his weeds in the jar. "Very nice Freddy and how many times do I have to tell you it's John." He smiled and the boy who was showing great excitement at his display.
