Ellie was still pulling John along without protest to the forest, when John finally asked.
"El, what are you doing? Where are we going?"
"We are going to my tree John" She replied still smiling widely.
"I don't understand, shouldn't we be trying to please the Chief to let us have the ceremony tonight for you and the others?"
Ellie spun around and looked at John worriedly "Do you not want to be my mate or the Alpha to this pack?"
"Of course I do but that can all happen in time, we need to get everything back on track for tonight." He replied as he was confused as to why they weren't arranging Ellie's induction as Alpha of Purple Star tonight until they were ready for John to take on the title.
