Chapter Five: The Blood Blueprint A stillness descended upon the Shadow Den. The black cylinder—the Origin Key—sat on the table, seemingly trembling not with metal, but with the vibration of invisible power. Karim Uncle slowly placed his hand on the cylinder, a shadow of memory in the corner of his eye. —“Do you know I spent thirty-five years searching for this?” he whispered. Nazreen silently typed code into the computer console. Roman took a step back. He felt a strange, cold sensation—as if his life was about to change completely in this moment. The moment Nazreen connected the key to the data reader, the entire room suddenly filled with golden light. The holographic projection showed a massive spiral pattern—like a 3D model of DNA. But this was no ordinary genetic sequence. Aryan said slowly, —“You see? Hidden within this blueprint is the 7,000-year-old human genome. It shows that all people on Earth bear the mark of a single ancient ancestor.” Roman was speechless. —“Meaning… everyone is related?” —“Yes,” Nazreen confirmed, “Your enemy, your friend, your neighbour—they are all branches of the same family.” Karim Uncle became grim, —“The Western Confederation has kept this information a secret. Because if people knew they are all of the same blood, then religion, race, borders—everything would become a lie. Then the wars would stop, and their empire of power would collapse.” Roman’s heart pounded faster. The words he’d heard from an old teacher in his childhood echoed in his mind— "The ultimate truth is that we are all related. It's only a question of how far back we are willing to look." But the moment of triumph did not last. Suddenly, a red alarm flashed on an old security monitor in the corner of the room. Nazreen cried out in panic, —“Our location has been exposed!” Aryan gritted his teeth and said, —“They are coming… and this time it won’t be easy to stop them.” Karim Uncle placed the cylinder into Roman's hand. —“You are its protector now. No matter the hardship, you must keep it safe. If it is lost, everything is over.” Heavy metallic footsteps were already audible outside—the Western Confederation’s elite security unit, known as the Iron Shadows. If caught, not only would Roman die, but his very existence would be wiped from history. Chapter Six: The Invisible Companion Roman stopped for mere seconds among the ruins of the old market. His breathing was laboured, his heart pounding like a hammer in his chest. He still clutched the Origin Key tightly—half the world was now hunting him for it. Heavy boot steps floated from afar, along with the glare of red scanners. The Iron Shadows were encircling the market alleys. Roman slipped into a narrow adjoining alley. It was dark all around, with broken neon lights flickering occasionally. Suddenly, something moved like a shadow on the rooftop above. —“To the left!” An unfamiliar voice struck his ear. Roman hesitated for a second and then sprinted left. At that precise moment, a red scanner beam shot across his previous path—another second later and he would have been caught. At the end of the alley, he saw a person dressed in black beckoning him. The face was hidden by a hood, and a soft green light glowed in their eyes. —“Come with me,” the unknown person said, their voice devoid of emotion. Roman paused. —“Who are you?” —“Your last chance to survive.” The footsteps of the Iron Shadows were growing louder behind him. Roman had no time to think. He ran behind the unknown figure. They crossed the alley and entered a broken restaurant. Cracks in the floor, old posters on the wall, and an iron cover buried in the ground in the middle. The unknown person quickly lifted the cover. —“Go down.” Roman hesitated for a moment, but as the scanner light fell from above, he leaped down. The moment he landed in the dark tunnel, the cover closed above him, and moments later, gunfire could be heard outside. —“You saved me,” Roman said, panting in the darkness. —“You don’t know yet if I saved you or hunted you,” the unknown person replied coldly. They walked further into the depths of the tunnel. In the faint light ahead, Roman saw the lower part of the person's face for the first time—sharp jawline, but a strange emptiness in the eyes. —“Are you from the Shadow Den?” Roman asked. —“No,” they said, “I belong to a different network. We understood long ago that the Origin Key is not just information—it’s a door that, when opened, will change the world. But… not everyone will want that change.” A cold shiver ran down Roman’s spine. —“Are you for me, or against me?” The unknown person said nothing, only— —“You are alive now because I want you to be alive. But remember, the line between friend and foe in this city is fuzzier than you imagine.” Blue light suddenly flashed on the tunnel walls—the motion sensors had been activated. The unknown person whispered, —“They are here.” Chapter Seven: The Tunnel Gauntlet The blue light grew more intense, as if an electrical current was running through the walls. Roman felt the air in the tunnel suddenly growing cold—as if inhaling would freeze his lungs. The unknown person suddenly whispered, —“Don’t make a sound… they can’t see us, but they can hear us.” Roman’s eyes were a mix of curiosity and fear. —“Who are ‘they’?” —“Silent Drones… the Cyber-Hunters of the Western Empire. They don't eat flesh, they just hunt.” A very faint humming sound could be heard in the distance—at first like a mosquito’s wing beat, but gradually turning into a frightening roar of metallic vibration. The unknown person pulled out a black disc-like device from their waist. Pressing a button, it floated in the air and created a blue electric field around them. —“Without this, we won't survive.” Roman watched in astonishment as the light around the device distorted—as if they were standing on the border between the visible and the invisible. Just then, the first Silent Drone came around the tunnel bend. Small, black, but a red, eye-like lens spun in the middle of its floating body. Micro-blades spun around it at such speed that they appeared only as a blurring shadow. The moment the drone’s sensor turned towards Roman and his companion, the unknown person forcefully pulled him into a broken server room. —“Don’t run—the pulse sensors can catch speed,” they warned. Roman only heard the drone hovering outside the door, its red lens flashing white—then silence. —“Is it gone?” Roman whispered. —“No,” the unknown person said coldly, “It’s waiting for us to make a mistake.” At that very moment, another drone broke through the server room ceiling, and immediately a storm of blades raged around them. The unknown person pushed Roman to the ground and threw the black disc at the drone. A deafening sound, then sudden silence. The drone's body slowly melted and burned, as if someone had sucked all the power out from within. Roman got up, panting. —“Who are you, really?” The unknown person was silent for a while. Then said, —“My name is Cael. I once worked for those you hate.” Roman froze. —“Then why are you with me now?” Cael smiled faintly. —“Because I know no one can win this war alone. And the Origin Key… I understand it better than you do.” A faint light was visible in the distance at the end of the tunnel. Cael said, —“If we pass that light, we’ll reach the safe zone—but first, we must overcome one final obstacle.” Chapter Eight: The Labyrinth of the Mind As the light grew closer, an unfamiliar pressure built up inside Roman's chest. It was difficult to breathe, but the air wasn't heavy—it was too light, as if every breath was pushing him toward a deeper sleep. Cael spoke in a low voice, —“Be careful… we are entering the Neuro-Web Zone.” Roman frowned. —“What’s that?” —“A mental trap. The moment you step here, the line between reality and illusion dissolves. If you lose yourself, you won’t be able to return.” As the tunnel ended, they entered a massive hall. The walls shimmered like crystal, but contained countless moving shadow figures—as if someone was screaming from inside but no sound emerged. Suddenly, Roman saw his mother standing in one corner—the exact image of her he had last seen in childhood. She was reaching out, calling him, her eyes filled with affection. —“Rasu… it’s been so long… come to me.” Roman took a step forward, but Cael grabbed his shoulder firmly. —“No! That’s not real.” —“But… I just—” —“The Neuro-Web is infiltrating your brain. They are trying to delve into your memories and break you.” Just then, the scene around Roman changed—he saw his old house in Dhaka, his library, his father’s old handwriting… and on the table, the very Origin Key. Cael was gone. A grave voice echoed from all directions, —“Take this, Rasu… with it you can change the world… but in exchange, you must give me your independent thought.” Roman’s head began to spin. He knew it was a trap—but the key felt so real, so powerful, that he desperately wanted to reach out and grab it. Suddenly, Cael’s voice cut in from the side, —“Listen, Rasu! You have to remember—what is yours cannot be taken unless you give it away. Your mind is your strength.” Roman closed his eyes, took a deep breath. Then he said with determination, —“I will not give my independent thought to anyone.” The surrounding scene shattered simultaneously, like the sound of breaking glass. He was back in the real tunnel, Cael standing beside him. Cael smiled faintly, —“You did it. Most people lose themselves there.” Roman pressed his lips together and said, —“Now tell me, what is the Origin Key, truly?” Cael looked down and said, —“It’s not just a device, Rasu… it’s a code that can change the centre of the world’s economy, politics, and power in an instant. But if you possess it, not only will you change—the whole world will change… or be destroyed.” Another light was visible in the distance now—but this one was flickering, as if someone or something was waiting for them. Chapter Nine: The Last Sentinel Reaching the end of the tunnel, they stopped short. The light was not a lamp—it was a massive transparent sphere radiating a bright blue glow, simultaneously chilling and terrifying. Floating inside the sphere was a human-shaped form—its entire body was silvery metal, but its eyes glowed like deep blue fire. Suddenly, it spoke, though its lips did not move— —“I am Guardian-X. The sole protector of the Origin Key. Coming here means you seek my permission.” Cael stepped forward. —“We don't seek permission, we seek liberation. We need the Origin Key to restore the balance of power on Earth.” Guardian-X smiled—but the smile was cold, sharp. —“Balance? History has never seen balance, and it never will. Power always belongs to the powerful—that is the rule.” Roman stepped up now, —“Rules are made by men, and men change them. And your ‘power’—it is just a code. But I will use that code for the people of the world, not for the powerful.” The blue fire in Guardian-X's eyes intensified. —“Then prove that you have come to fight for ‘humanity’.” In a moment, the ground around them shifted, and they stood in a strange battlefield—floating metal platforms, spinning energy balls in the distance, and a stream of code like lightning in the sky. Guardian-X raised a hand, and the codes shot towards Roman like thunderbolts. Cael screamed, —“It's not real, but if it hits you, your mind will be permanently shattered!” Roman quickly recalled the lesson from his old library— An ancient book had stated, “The mind that can be bigger than its own fear is truly free.” He closed his eyes and stood his ground. The codes struck his body, but he felt no pain—instead, the codes merged within him, creating a new strength. Guardian-X paused. —“You… did not resist?” —“No,” Roman said calmly, “I accepted it. Because freedom is found not by running from fear, but by making fear a part of oneself.” The blue light slowly faded. Guardian-X said in a deep voice, —“You have passed the test. The Origin Key is yours.” A silver disc floated out of the sphere and fell into Roman's hand. But just then, a violent explosion sounded behind them in the tunnel—someone was coming, and they wanted to seize the Origin Key. Cael’s eyes widened. —“They found us… we have to get out of here now!” Roman clutched the Origin Key tightly. He knew—this was just the beginning. Chapter Ten: The Corporation's Shadow Roman and Cael were running through the city’s abandoned alleys. Metallic footsteps behind them, flying drones in the distance, and the voices of armoured soldiers—all merging into a frightening symphony. —“They are tracking us from the sky now,” Cael whispered. Roman looked towards the dim light and said, —“But the Origin Key is in my hands now. And it’s not just a device—it’s the key to a new world.” Suddenly, they reached a modern tunnel entrance. Descending the stairs, they entered a vast room, surrounded by computer servers, bathed in a soft blue light. In the centre sat three people—beside them, a massive display screen where various human reactions and all the cities on the world map flashed like ticks. Cael shouted, —“These are the Aurelius Corporation—they created the Origin Key and intend to control the entire world with this strategy.” One of the men said in a loud voice, —“A very brave boy. You walked in with the Origin Key in your hand. You don't know that we created it, and we can activate or deactivate anyone we choose.” Roman did not bow his head. —“You don’t understand. Power never makes a person fully human. If balance is to be restored to the Earth, it is only possible by the people themselves.” The second corporate man laughed—a cold, inevitable sound. —“Balance? The world never sees balance. Humans fight for power. And you are the prey in that game.” Cael looked at Roman and said, —“Just running won’t work this time, Rasu. You have to understand their game and resist it. And the Origin Key is the only weapon.” Roman gripped the Origin Key in his hand tightly. The device suddenly emitted a blue glow. —“Let’s go,” he said, “We will take the world back.” Suddenly, a slight vibration all around—the displays were filling with invisible code. Cael yelled, —“Hack their system! Using the Origin Key, we can break their control!” Roman closed his eyes and slowly activated the Origin Key. The displays, the servers, and the map—everything flashed with blue light. Small sparks appeared in the cities of the world, as if people were feeling their own strength. The corporate individuals were stunned, powerful yet fearful. Roman declared, —“From now on, the power of the world belongs to the people. And no one else.” Flashes of electricity crackled around them, drones flew, but Roman’s firm mind and the power of the Origin Key kept everything steady. Chapter Eleven: A New Dawn The sky over Dhaka is different today. As the sun rises, light spills over the river, the alleyways, and the tops of the sky-high buildings. The fear, the darkness, and the wails of the enemies—everything has ended. Roman Rasu, Cael, Nazreen, and Karim Uncle—stood side-by-side, the blue light of the Origin Key in Roman's hand slowly fading. Roman said, —“It all started with a book, a library. And it ended… with the power of the people themselves.” Nazreen smiled, —“Now the world will work not just for technology or power, but for the welfare of humanity.” Roman paused for a moment and looked up at the sky. —“The ultimate truth is that we are all related. Our blood, our DNA is one, our mentality, our humanity—everything is single. And that is why everyone must be valued equally.” Cael said slowly, —“This war was not just for strength or power. It was for the mind, belief, and humanity. And you have shown that even an ordinary person can change the control of the world.” Small changes began in every corner of the Earth. Politics, economics, education, health—everything is shifting toward the betterment of people. The aggression of the Western Confederation slowly ceased. For the first time, people understood that power is not fear, but responsibility. Roman looked at the old book on the table. —“Our ancestors passed on this lesson to us. We learned—fear must be conquered, one’s strength must be felt, and one must always be human.” Smiles on the faces of people in the city streets, children playing, the peaceful breath of the elderly—all merging to form a new world. Cael smiled faintly, —“You did it, Rasu. Not alone; we all did.” Roman nodded and said, —“This new world is ours. And in this world, no child will ever be born into fear and exploitation. Humanity will be the strength of man.” After the star-studded night, today is a new dawn— A world where the human heart is king, and equality is its throne. And Roman knew that while his journey had ended, the story of the world’s people had begun with a new chapter—where everyone is their own king, their own queen.
