Unanswered Cries

A red sky covered the beautiful blue grass and reflected off of the beautiful Ruby red water. Small ripples ran across the waters surface from a girls hair gently resting on the surface. Stripes of blue and indigo floated calmly on the surface while the wind slowly brushed across her, the sky had a certain light to it today. It had all sorts of orange and crimson lines from the nearby ocean and the sun hit the mountains just right today too, it was a sight that she wished to never forget. No, she wanted to share it with someone special, someone she loved. The wind picked up for a moment and picked the tan sunhat she was wearing right off of her head. "Ahhh no! Mom'll kill me if I lose another one.", she tried to snatch it out of the air but it was too quick and escaped her desperate hands. The wind carried just above the ground and over a hill like it was being brought somewhere on purpose. The girl acknowledged this with displeasure. "Why can't you just hit he ground already. This has to be a joke". She continued running after the hat but it kept picking up speed and showed no signs of slowing down, it was gone and she couldn't possibly catch it. "You lost it again Tina? How do you always lose that thing?", a young boy, maybe 11 or so ran up to Tina with a cocky smirk on his face. His blue irises reflected an orange sun and a black line ran up the left side of his face and was cut in half by his eye. "Don't do me like that Tenshi. I didn't try to lose it". "Teh hahaha, that's a new one Tina. I've never heard anyone say it like that before.", his eyes glowed a little bit while he laughed and his stripe formed small marks around it's edges as well. He laughed for a second longer until he looked back to Tina and stated with Pride. "Let's go get your hat back Ms. Valentina Centauri. Oh and you can just call me Akai, we've known each other forever now so it's fine". Her face turned red as Akai put his hand on her shoulder and gave her an innocent smile. His eyes were closed but they were so calming and carried a certain feeling of admiration. His smile had a wholesome and loveable feeling emanating from it and so it gave Valentina a bit of hope. "Do you think we can get it back!", her eyes sparkled with hope and anticipation. She had her hands up in front of her with an excited expression. "Sadly no, I don't think we will be getting it back Valentina". He looked down and repositioned his hand on her shoulder a bit. He moved his face down a bit more and looked away a bit. "Aww, really?", Valentina looked at Akai with a glimmer in her eyes and a frown on her face. Her face slowly drifted upwards to Akai's face as the sun reflected off of her eyes. She stepped forward a bit and locked eyes with him and looked almost like a begging dog with her eyes as big as they were. "I can't turn her down if she does that, no fair.", Akai raised his other hand ad put it on her other shoulder. He rose his head and she followed this motion. Once raised, he moved his hand on her left shoulder to her head and said with a confident voice. "That's right, I don't think we can get your hat back Valentina. I know we can get it back and we will. Now let's get a move on or it'll get too far away". "Huuuuuuh! Really! You'll help"! Her voice jumped an octave and she got even more uncomfortably close to Akai. "I ugh yeah, I'll help yah if you backup a bit.", he puts hit hand on her collarbone and nods his head. "I'll get your hat back no matter what, I promise". " oooh, thanks Akai! You're the best you know that!", she again, gets right up in his face. "I'll make sure I get you the best present for your 13th birthday Akai". Akai hops up and down and rolls his around in a circular motion while his hops take him higher and higher with every jump. His eyes shift to a dark grey and the ground around him lost all of it's color in an instant. The world around him came to a temporary stop as the words that left his lips erupted throughout the silent landscape, his voice boomed throughout the wild and remained with an internal echo from within his chest. The wind picked up and the water sloshed in it's muddy trough of minerals and plants. Valentina's hair began blowing all over the place as did Akai's, his Blonde hair as a black stripe down the center and all the color was slowly fading around him. A whirring sound like you'd hear in a Sci-Fi movie shattered the silent chaos around them and consumed all other noise. "What's happening Akai! What are you doing Akai"! She felt the wind and it's immense pressure her body wasn't being pressed by it. Her eyes could feel the wind running into it but they didn't hurt like they should. Then it happened, a black shadow exploded over the field and everything was consumed. These devilish waves of pure, unrelenting darkness had overtaken all life in the area, down to even the tiniest of organisms. "Why is everything black? What happened, where is Akai!", she tore her arms threw the air and shot her legs out in every direction trying to fight off the shadows that were consuming her. She continued fighting until she realized that, she wasn't actually moving at all. Her eyes started t water as she shouted out into the abyss. "Akai! Help me! Please help me Akai"! Her screams left her mouth but that's all they did, the waves of desperation never reached the ears of a hero and she went unsaved and abandoned in the dark. "Oh, so it's like that, isn't it. I'll just wait in the dark for a light that never comes, a hero that never help me. Again". She waited and waited and waited some more. She sat there, slowly dying for years without a single glimmer of hope. She had grown a whole head in height and had fantasies of removing the heads of others after what they had done. Those dirty rats that took her Akai away from her were gonna pay for it. "Teh hehehehe, I'll tear you back to me once again Akai. I'll always love you, forever and ever and ever and ever until the sun explodes.", her pupils shrank to the width of a needle and her hands shot out a silver flash of light. "Now I guess is the best time, I can feel them watching me from outside". "Silver Stream". "She failed again doctor. Send the results to king Majoris before she wakes up". "Yes sir, right away". A man in an all white lab coat stood over the body of Valentina Centauri as she lay there on a cold metal table. No motion and a cold tarp like blanket covered her body, she was alive but out of her own mind, her memories were both real and fake. Her thoughts were her own but not from her current self, she was a kid in an adults body until that adult woke up and the beast returned to it's domain. She was an assassin that longed for something but she couldn't find out. She desperately tore her way through everything in her way if she believed it would answer her thirst for wisdom. She was the Spirit of Delayed Fate. "W-what? Why am I here again? Where are my clothes?", she looked around confused despite knowing where she was and even why deep down. She had lost her control again and went nuts on somebody for speaking about "the traitors". "Ahh, there she is. My beautiful daughter". A man with Deep Blue hair approached her while she lay motionless, only able to turn her head slightly. "Take these needles out of my damn arm now! I'm tired of these dumb ass trials father. They hurt, they hurt a lot!", she struggled for a moment but it was in vein. Her limbs were frozen again and her mind was still trapped in her vision. "Valentina, you need to let go of that boy. I know he was your first love but you know the crimes he has committed are unforgivable". The man looked at his daughter with a demanding and controlling look. She didn't dare defy him now. "I've tried father but you keep making me see him and he won't go away". Her eyes filled with tears as she said this but her father didn't care, she would run the test again. A loud beep played and Valentina fell back into her slumber, she had no choice but to undergo the trial once more. "Doctor, I want my daughter to stay in hibernation for a bit longer after the trial is complete". "But sir, she could go insane from the trauma this medicine would put her through. We could cause perm-" Crimson stains splattered all over Valentina and the surrounding doctors. " didn't ASK you to, I TOLD you to. Don't ever defy me you peasant rats. I want her to forget Akai and then I want her to go totally insane, awaken her inner demons and send her through the pool tomorrow at 6AM right when it opens." The man stormed off, leaving a headless doctor on the floor behind him as blood covered the floor below his body. Some Time later. . . " What will you do with her? She isn't a capable fighter?",  a purple haired young woman walked into the angry man's room. "it's quite simple really. If she can't escape him, then she can just kill him. He was one of the weakest people I have seen in the mirror. He'll be easy for her and don't start about his sister Nao, she will be a toy for my disgusting off spring to play with".
