I came back to the office a few hours later, Neil, my boss was standing outside my office. I sighed, I guess I might lose my job today. I expected Quin would file a grievance with my boss after what I did because he is Quin.
“Neil, I can explain what happened.” I said before he could say anything.
He smiled at me, “what is there left to explain, you managed to sign the biggest investor in the company.” He shook my hand as I had a blank confused expression on my face, “you will get a ten percent raise in your salary as agreed by Mr. McDaniel.” He added then he walked away.
Ruby approached me, “I removed all the flowers from your office, got a cleaning crew and I opened the windows to let in some fresh air.” She went on.
