I woke up at dawn and turned on my phone to find that my alarm clock had been turned off. Did Alves do that?
"Hiss-" I sucked in a breath of cold air as my whole body ached as if it had undergone a tearing reorganization, and the slightest movement of my arm tugged at many places. Looks like it's going to be a difficult day at work.
It took me twice as long as usual to get dressed, finish washing up, and then briefly move around the bedroom again to avoid being noticed as unusual. And to think of a good excuse to avoid embarrassment when Erin was concerned about me.
