Chapter 18 Clash
Only two days after the Gnome returned to Tinker Town he was thrust back into his old role. No one asked why he left, where he had gone, or why he was away for so long.
They welcomed him back, shoved a robe and a law book in his hands and said, “Now that you’re back and no longer a politician, we made you a judge.”
A long sigh came from the Gnome. The proceedings dragged on to the point the man considered suicide a more pleasing option.
“Can we move this along, counselor? I am sure we all have other things to do.”
“I apologize, Judge Orbis. I am finished with my statement.”
“Fine.” Orbis scratched his neck as if he was thinking. He had decided many days ago what the punishment would be. Now it was all for show.
