Xander's eyes shot open.
"Who escaped?" His voice didn't even sound like he was just sleeping.
Maximus stared at him but his eyes were glazed over, he looked to be in a dreamlike state. Confused, I looked up at Xander to see his blue eyes glossed over too.

Xander finally broke out of his trancelike state at the same time as Maximus eyes turned normal too. He grabbed me by the waist and set me down on the floor and stood up with the grace of a panther.
"We can't leave her here." He said.
"Bring her along." Maximus prompted.
"No, she'll be in danger with him on the loose." Kollin joined in.
