Chapter 10 After an hour of walking around the outer edges of the walled city, I became skeptical Charlie was leading me in the right direction. After all, it was a little too convenient that he would just happen upon me exactly when I came out of the portal and be my guide into Dis to find Imogen. Who knew if Imogen was even in Dis? It was hard enough to get me, a willing adult, through the gates. How did she manage with a scared child? Admittedly, I was too overwhelmed with the thought of being lost in Hell to think straight, which is why I latched onto Charlie to begin with, but at least I could think straight enough to know I couldn’t think straight. I came through the portal hot blooded, without any forethought, and having a familiar face to look upon eased my fears before they crip
