I WAS ALONE WHEN I exited the building. I was free, but I was terribly alone. In Hell. And I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going. If anybody in Hell found out I had a body and a soul, it would be bad news, and I would be hunted mercilessly. I would have to talk to somebody, though. Eventually. After all, there was only one lead I had to go on—the Constable told Charlie the Old Hat would provide him more information. Was that a bar? Was it a*****e? Was it even in Dis? I would have to be careful who I asked for help, and I couldn’t just wander around aimlessly. I set off down the street with only the name of the Old Hat on my lips. I worried every eye in Hell would be upon me as I moved. Luckily, the monsters of Hell kept to their own business. It was easy to navigate unseen
