He nodded and walked out the front door leaving me alone with my thoughts and Luna. As I went upstairs to my room I started remembering all the times that I felt like an outcast just because I was different, it wasn’t fair for a child to feel like that. Everything that happened to me was because I was in the wrong dimension my whole life?
I packed everything with sentimental value to me and some clothes I didn’t care what Alexander said about clothes I wanted a piece of home with me, as I packed my jewelry tears reached my eyes remembering about some of the important moments when I used them Luna probably heard me because she strode into the room right to me and nestled her nose in my hair. I put my arms around her neck and let the tears run down my face, we stayed like that for what felt like almost twenty minutes then I rose and put my forehead against hers (it’s our way of saying thank you to one another) then she pulled away bowed her head slightly to me and walked out of the room.
After I finished packing mine and Luna’s things I brought it all downstairs when a knock echoed through the door standing on the other side was Alexander and Parker, my doorman.
“Hello Miss Starlink, I’m here to take your bags downstairs. I hear you are going on vacation. ” Parker said looking between me and Alexander.
“ Hi, yes I am Parker. Thank you for your help.” I smiled at Parker.
Alexander and I went downstairs while Parker was getting my total of 2 bags. I had a feeling on my stomach I didn’t know if it was a good feeling or a bad one but something inside me was telling me that a lot was going to happen in Stardust and it made me a lot more nervous. Parker put the bags on the trunk of Alexander’s limo while I got into to back with him and Luna.
“So where are we going?” I asked looking out the window when the car started
“We are going to the Starlink manor on earth where the portal to Stardust is then we'll head directly to the high castle. I will introduce you to your father and from there it’s your journey.” I looked over at him.
“So that’s it? That is all I have to do with you?”
“No, I will stay by your side, after all, I was chosen to be your Royal Guardian and I took a vow so I’ll protect you with my life but your father will take it from there.”
“Oh, okay.”
I said this already, turning away from him, looking out the window at the trees covered in white fluffy snow, I’ve always loved the snow but this one was a little different. It felt like a goodbye from this world, from everything that I built here. As the car went on flashbacks from the happy times when I was a child were playing over and over again in my head. I shook my head and pushed it away as we arrived at a massive gate with a long entryway that led to a beautiful manor very similar to the Carrington Manor from “Dynasty” the TV show and close to the entrance gate there was a wooden tag engraved “The Starlinks”. Somehow I felt drawn to the house like it was calling my name in some way like I was meant to be here at this moment. Alexander exited the limo holding the door open for me, I got out Luna was right behind me as he guided me to the inside of the manor we walked right into a massive entryway with a marble double staircase there was a round light wood table with a jar with flowers on top the walls were all a very light grey almost white. Alex looked at me and pointed to the staircase on the left.
“Your room is through there the last one at the end of the corridor. You’ll find appropriate clothing for a Stardust princess in the walk-in closet. After you change come meet me at the study. It’s right down the main hallway downstairs right next to the ballroom.”
“Okay, I will.” Alexander started to walk away down the wall and I made my way upstairs.
