Back home: "Oh! Ho—honey! Honey!" "What's wrong? What's going on? Are you hurting?" "Yes, I—I think the baby's coming out..." "What? No! It's too early, right? Maybe this is normal, or perhaps, you should sit down? Right, i think you have—" "Bring me to the hospital!" The whole Randall family is in panic when Celeste announced that she felt like she's about to give birth. Her pregnancy is practically a miracle for her and her husband, because they've been trying for almost ten years. The couple have been to every doctors, every faith healers, and shamans there is in the country, but none of them could help the two. One priest told them that having children is one of God's favorite to plan. That they will have a child soon. Two months after, Celeste felt different about herself. She started having morning sickness. At first, she thought it was just food poisoning. Until her husband noticed her mood swings as well. One day, her husband asked her to take a pregnancy test, and she tested positive. The entire family celebrated with them. [Harry, how's Celeste?] Camila's dad, Max Randall asked his older brother over the phone. "She's still in the emergency room, Max. I don't know what's happening yet." Harry Randall responded in a shaky tone. [We're on our way, Harry. Okay? Just calm down for now.] "Yeah, okay. Please, hurry. I'm losing my mind here." [Don't worry, brother. Everything's going to be okay.] According to Celeste's ob-gynecologist, her pregnancy will be a bit difficult because of her age, and ovary condition. She was required to take extra care of herself, watch out for the food she eats, and avoid exhausting herself. She had to take an early maternity leave from work to ensure that their baby will safe. "Oh, God. Please, please, keep my family safe. I beg you. We cannot lose this baby." Harry prayed silently while waiting for the doctors to come out of the emergency room. Few minutes later, his younger brother, Max Randall arrived with his wife, and eldest daughter. They all waited anxiously until one of the doctors came out of the emergency room. It's like finally being saved from drowning when the doctor said that Celeste, and the baby is safe. It's not her due yet, but the doctors wants to keep her in the hospital to ensure that she and the baby will be fine until her due comes. "There's the beautifully pregnant woman." Sonia, Camila's mother greeted Celeste with a smile. "How are feeling, Auntie?" Clara, Camila's older sister asked. "I'm fine now, especially when the doctors told me that my baby's safe." Celeste responded. "Although, I don't understand why do I have to stay here until I deliver the baby." "Honey, the doctors want to keep you safe, so we will do as they say, okay?" Harry begged his wife. "Fine. How's Camila by the way? I've been checking her social media accounts, and she hasn't posted anything yet." "Camila and all of her friends, auntie. I think they're in some sort of soul-searching trip. No gadgets allowed." Clara joked. What they don't know is that the souls that Camila and her friends will find are as vicious and nasty as they come. --------------------------- Teenage boys are normally playful. That's what people say, but Braeden is different. He hangs out with boys his age, but he doesn't do the things they do. One of those things is doing drugs. His Uncle Nolan, his dad's youngest brother, suffered addiction before he committed suicide. He saw how his addiction swallowed his uncle from the inside out. All his properties, his savings, everything was wiped out because of his cocaine addiction. He lost everything before he took his own life. And now, he's starting to see the signs on his friend, Vien. "Vien, hey. How are you doing?" He asked softly when he found Vien sitting by the bridge outside the town. Braeden tried to find his friend in his house, and in their usual spot, but he was nowhere to be found. He just got lucky that Mrs. Lynch saw Vien by the bridge on her way home. She said that Vien looked troubled, and it worries her so much. "Braeden, hey. What are you doing here, man? Where's your girlfriend?" Vien greeted back. "Camila's on a vacation with her friends. What are you doing here?" Gayer Bridge is the highest bridge in town for it is what connects their to the Windmill Town through the mountain. In between the two towns is the Norse River. A rocky river with a strong current that nobody ever tried to cross. Falling into the Norse River is a dangerous feat. When someone fall into the river, either the large and sharp rocks will kill him, or the strong current. "Nothing. I just find it relaxing to be there. Every time I feel the wind blows in my face, I feel like I can fly." Vien said, and it made Braeded swallowed hard. "Why don't you get down here, and we can go to my house. What do you say? My mom cooked a chicken casserole." He tried to convince his friend to get off the edge of the bridge. "Braeden, have you ever think about flying? I mean, don't you ever feel envious of the birds? They are so free of anything. They can go wherever they want, whenever they want. They are not limited, unlike us." "Vien, come on. Please, man. Let's just go to my house, we can hang out together." "Why? Because your girlfriend is out of town? Heh! Ever since you two got together, you forgot about me. When was the last time that you spend the day with me?" Vien was right. He became too focus on his romantic relationship that he forgot his close friend. He never even noticed when did Vien started using drugs. It broke his heart to realize that he had the chance to help his friend, but he didn't "See... Don't worry, man. Everything's going to be okay." Those were Vien's last words before he smiled painfully to Braeden. Vien Hudson jumped off the Gayer Bridge.
