1st day after Camila ditched their final period the other day: The announcement of Junior Prom was made early in the morning. Every junior student was because this is one of the highlights of their school year. Despite the stress of keeping or catching up a good grades, having something to look forward to helps the students a lot. But, the prom mood could not apply to Keisha and her friends. They still haven't heard from Camila, and she didn't show up for school as school. When they came her house to pick her up this morning, her parents said she already left for school. "Hey, Keisha. Are you listening?" Latacia snapped her fingers in front of her face because she's spacing out. "What?" She asked absentmindedly. "Oh, my God! We've been talking here for twenty minutes, and you're not listening? Come on, Kei. Don't be that selfish." Latacia said, sounding disappointed. "Sorry." That's the only thing that Keisha was able to say. Antoinette is the only one who knew about her problem, and she asked her not to say anything. 2nd day: It's the day of their pre-final examination. Every student feels anxious because the pre-final exam can help them pull their midterm grades up or down. They were supposed to focus on their exams, but Keisha and her friends could not. Camila hasn't come to school yet. They can't catch her at home, they can't find her anywhere. No one knows where she is or what's happening to her. "Camila's parents doesn't seem to know that Camila hasn't come to school for two days." Bethany said. "I feel so worried, guys. This is not like Camila at all. She will never miss a day in school, let alone two." Sierra added. "Sierra's right. I think Camila's parents need to know. I mean, what if she's in danger? Or in big trouble?" Dianne agreed. "Come on, let's talk to her parents." Antoinette said with finality. But, when they arrived at the Randall residence, nobody's home. -Two Days Ago- Classes were almost done, and Camila was already too eager to come home. The exhaustion, and the smell of the people have been making her dizzy for the entire day. Just a couple more hours, and she can finally rest. She's on her way to their final period, but her phone beeped, a sign that she received a text message. SMS from BigSister ?: Come home, now. I found your pregnancy test kit, and I showed to Mom and Dad. "Oh, my God!" Camila exclaimed after reading her older sister's text message. She hid that kit inside her old music box. How did her sister found it? Because of feeling anxious, she felt like she's about to collapse. There is no way that her parents is ever gonna forgive for what happened. s*x before marriage is the biggest shame a daughter could ever bring in their family. Not having any choice, she ditched her final period and came home. "What is this? You're pregnant? Huh?" Her father's voice was not of anger, but utter disappointment. She was scared to tell because she know that they'd be angry at her, but seeing her father so disappointed, she never thought it would hurt worst. "I'm sorry. I never meant for any of this to happened." She apologized in between her sobs. "I knew something is wrong with you. Why didn't you tell us?" Her older asked. "Because I know that you guys would be angry at me." She replied before crying harder. Camila can feel the world crushing down on her. "You will get rid of that sin, now." That was also her best plan so far, but hearing her father suggest it felt too painful. "What? Dad! It wasn't the child's fault." Her sister tried to reason with her father. "Let's go. Now." That was the saddest day in Camila's life. Her parents were support to show her love, instead, they despised her. They even made her choose between staying with her family and getting rid of the baby, or leaving. She cried a river before she undergo the procedure. Her motherly instinct kicked in for a moment, and she almost left the building. But, her mother convinced her to go through with it. She insisted that Camila had to think about her future. 3rd day: Right after their final period, Keisha and her friends went straight to the Randall residence. They've been trying to talk to Camila's parents, but they were always not at home. Now, they were hoping that they could finally have their chance. They saw the lights on their house turned on, and they felt relieved. Even their car is parked at the front yard. Antoinette is the one who pressed the doorbell while the others waited anxiously. "Good evening, Mrs. Randall." They greeted almost in unison. "Girls, what can I do for you?" The woman greeted back awkwardly. "Uhm, we're looking for Camila. Is she home?" Latacia asked. "Yes, but she's sick. She can't accommodate you right now." Mrs. Randall said. "Can we see her? Maybe, we can come to her room?" Bethany asked. "No. As I said, she's sick. You just have to wait until she comes back to school. Good night, girls." Mrs. Randall closed the door without hesitation. All of them were shocked and confused with how she acted. They are best friends, some of them are even childhood friends. Mrs. Randall was one of the sweetest mother they've ever met. They went home feeling defeated. Each of them wanted to understand what is happening with Camila, but they can't even see her. When did she fell ill? As far as they remember, she was fine three days ago. None of them could guess the reason why Camila's mom acted that way. All they know is something is definitely going on. Whatever it is, they don't want them to know. "Guys, I really feel so worried about Camila. I feel like Mrs. Randall is hiding something." Lina said on their way home. "Yeah, I feel that too. Whatever it is, I think it's huge." Brittany agreed. "Well, whatever it is, the only choice we have is to wait for Camila to come back to school." Keisha then said. They all fell silent, thinking about what's the thing that the Randalls doesn't want them to know.
