Karla’s pov I sat up slowly, my body aching from the therapy session earlier, but I wasn’t alone. My eyes were locked on Alaric who was just standing against the wall, legs crossed at the ankle and his arms loosely folded over his chest. He had been silent for so long now but I couldn’t tell what he was thinking about since he’d been staring blankly at the floor.
