Kayla’s pov I sat on the edge of the bed, my legs tingling under the weight of the blanket, and watched while she fluffed my pillows and took my pulse. I wasn’t really looking at her. My thoughts had been preoccupied by things I’d forced myself to forget, but now they came back. At least I was done with those exercises and I was glad it was supposed to give me back sensations to my feet. At least it was beginning to work. Soon, the door clacked open.
