Star took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she knew needed to be done. With her heart pounding, she made her way through the crowd towards where Alex stood, his charming smile captivating everyone around him.

"Alex," she called out, her voice determined but tinged with vulnerability.

He turned towards her, his eyes filled with a mix of surprise and curiosity. "Star, what a pleasant surprise. What brings you here?"

She tried to ignore the flutter of nerves in her stomach as she met his gaze. "I need to talk to you, Alex. It's important."
