I slammed my fist onto the steering wheel, the sound echoing through the car as I pulled over to the side of the road. I was seething with anger, my mind racing with the events that had just transpired.
That jerk, Leo, had lied to Zara's mom, poisoning her mind against me. And now, I had to deal with the fallout. Zara's mom wanted me to divorce her, to give up on the woman I loved.
I couldn't believe it. I wouldn't believe it. I knew that Zara's mom didn't understand me, didn't know the real me. I was determined to change that.
