Lucius's POV
I thought about what Dave said, duty as a son or as a husband but I can do both... It's very possible to attend the party as her husband and as the boss though its going to be stressful.
"I think I'll do both," I said, determination written on my face and the willingness so obvious in my voice.
Dave's eyes widened in alarm. "Are you high? Do you know how risky that is? I won't support it."
I chuckled and leaned back on the couch. "You have no other choice but to do whatever I choose. Let's drink a little, it's been a while since we did that."
Dave shook his head, a mixture of amusement and concern on his face. "Don't say I didn't warn you."
