As the days ticked by, bringing the new year closer, my frustration only grew. I missed her terribly, and the feeling of helplessness was suffocating. I felt like I was stuck in a never-ending nightmare, with no escape in sight.
I paced back and forth in my room, trying to come up with a plan to change my parents mind but every idea I thought of seemed flawed and I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was fighting a losing battle.
