(Rian’s P.O.V)
After cleaning the kitchen and thinking over this new power that Morrigan has and how it is detrimental to mine and Stark’s overall well-being, I went up to our room to apologize, only to find that my mate wasn’t there. I started to panic, searching through the whole house in case she decided to wander around. I mean our house is pretty big and she’s only really been to our bedroom and the kitchen. After looking throughout the house and coming up empty, dread and fear began to swirl around with the panic I was already feeling.
Warriors, your Luna is missing. Find her.
Um, Alpha. How can we find someone we have never met, let alone seen?
Oh yeah, we were busy “playing” this morning and missed our breakfast announcement.
She’s petite, curvy, red hair with green eyes. She’s wearing Converse, skinny jeans, and a black V-neck tee. Find her!
Yes, Alpha!
With that, I cut the link and Stark takes over so we can join the search for our mate. We look everywhere on the pack lands and find no traces of her. She couldn’t have gotten far even in wolf form because I had only left her alone for about an hour and she was calling Lysander to talk to him anyway, so I’m sure that was a relatively long conversation. After what seems like hours of searching my Gamma, Cormac, mind links me:
Alpha, Queen Raya of Eferhile called and stated that Luna is at their palace speaking with her father.
What. The. f**k? How the f**k did she get there?
Thank you, Cormac. Warriors, your Luna has been found. Please return to your posts and regular duties.
Yes, Alpha.
Stark had been running back to the house during the mind link and soon we were in front of the garage, which is always kept open, and there were no cars gone. Meaning she didn’t drive to Eferhile.
She f*****g teleported!
What!?
You heard me dumbass! She f*****g teleported to Eferhile!!
How is that even possible?! That’s almost 100 miles away!
Don’t ask me! I didn’t think it was possible either, but that is the only explanation, since all of our cars are here and Raya stated that she is there!
Fuck.
Nothing to do but wait until she decides to grace us with her presence again.
I guess so.
With a huff, Stark walks back to the house and up to our room, which is the last place she was before she decided to teleport. Stark paces and has blocked me from shifting us back. Soon enough, there’s a small “pop” and Morrigan is sitting on our bed.
“Hello, asshole. Oh sorry, Stark.” She says with a sneer.
If you don’t spank her, then I will.
Yup, gonna spank that attitude right out of her. Stark gives me back control but his anger and mine swirl together and I’m raging. I don’t think I have ever been this mad before.
“JUST WHERE THE f**k HAVE YOU BEEN!?”
“Well, asshole, I know my mother called you, so you know where I’ve been.”
“ENOUGH! Morrigan, I had all of my pack warriors looking for you because I couldn’t f*****g find you. Do you know how worried Stark and I were because you and Winter were missing?!”
“Look, I didn’t mean to teleport home, it was honestly an accident. I had gotten off the phone with Lysander and was just thinking about home and wanting to talk to my dad and suddenly I’m hearing Tabitha screaming and I’m in my old room in Eferhile.”
“You just really scared us, baby,” I say as I walk over to her to hug her close and inhale her lavender and mint scent.
Burying my face in her hair, I take a deep breath and the raging storm that Stark and I were experiencing eases and we begin to feel at peace. Morrigan wraps her arms around my waist and hugs me back.
“Okay, now that you are back you can tell me all about your conversation with Lysander.”
Morrigan proceeds to tell me what that purple fog was and how it works, and that means a whole lot of trouble for King Leonard and his warriors. After I got dressed again, we spend the rest of the afternoon spending time together and touring the pack grounds. Warriors and pack members come up and introduce themselves to Morrigan and offer their congratulations.
“Alpha! Luna! Wait up!” I hear my Gamma, Cormac, yelling from behind us.
We stop and wait for him to catch up.
“Hey Cormac, mo grá this is my Gamma. Cormac, this is my mate and Luna, Morrigan.” I introduce them, wrapping my arm around Morrigan’s waist.
“Luna Morrigan, it’s a pleasure to meet you at last. We missed you guys at breakfast this morning.” He states, with a knowing smirk playing across his lips.
Morrigan’s cheeks turn a bright shade of pink, as she understands what Cormac is getting at.
“Stop embarrassing my mate Cormac. What do you need?”
“I received a call from King Cerberus wanting to set up a meeting in Alynthi with you and Luna.”
“When did you set it for?”
“I set it for the day after tomorrow.”
I nod in acknowledgment and dismiss Cormac back to his duties. We begin our walk back to the house to change clothes for dinner, and Morrigan stops dead in her tracks.
“Baby, what’s going on?”
I get no response.
“Baby? Morrigan?”
I begin to panic as she continues to stand stock still, eyes unfocused like she is mind linking someone.
Killian! Something is wrong with Morrigan! Have Dr. Wyatt come to the house ASAP.
Yes, Alpha.
I bend down and pick up Morrigan in a bridal carry and run her back to the house, up the stairs, and set her in our bed. She’s lying stiff as a board, it seems, and I can’t help but pace the room. Dr. Wyatt comes in a few minutes later.
“What’s going on, Alpha?”
“I don’t know! We were walking back here to change for dinner, and she just suddenly stopped dead in her tracks and has stayed this way for the last few minutes.”
Dr. Wyatt goes about doing his examination; checking her pulse, her heart, her lungs, checks her pupils with his small light. That triggers her to wake up and shoot up into a sitting position, scaring the s**t out of Dr. Wyatt.
“Holy fuck.” She exclaims.
