Chapter 8

Lisa

"UHM, LISA?" I heard Jen called my name. I looked at her.

"Hmm?"

"You're single now, right?" I was a bit surprised by her question.

"Y-Yeah. Why?" I asked.

"Just asking." She said and tightly smiled.

I guess, it's not the only reason. But I just ignored it. I just want to enjoy this moment with her. This alone time with her.

"Anyway, what are your plans after we finished college?" She asked.

"I will go back in Thailand." I simply stated.

"You will leave me here?" She then pouted. I chuckled because of her action. Is she trying to he cute again? What a kid.

"You can go with me if you want." I stated. She quickly flashed her gummy smile after hearing my response.

"You're the best, Lili!" I just chuckled.

After a couple of minutes, we went back in the kitchen and spotted Bambam and Ten still cooking our lunch.

"Not done yet?" I asked.

"Nope. Just wait for still 3 minutes." Ten replied.

I was about to speak again when someone interrupted me. It was Rosé. She's excitedly running towards me.

"Lalisaaaaa!" She then jumped on me as she wrapped her arms on my neck.

"What the hell, Rosé! So loud!" I hissed but she still laughed. "What's the matter?" She leaned closer and whispered.

"I saw Jisoo unnie's lockscreen and wallpaper. It's me!" She happily whispered. My eyes widened. I quickly let out a smirk on her.

"Chaesoo is sailing, huh." I teased. She jokingly slapped my arm.

"Let's just keep that as a secret, okay? Or else, I will really--" I immediatly cutted her off.

"No need to blackmail me, Rosé. A secret is a secret. I promise." I seriously said. She clapped happily while jumping. Aish. Acting like a kid, too, ofcourse.

"Yay! Thank you, Lisa!" I just chuckled.

Atleast, I knew that Jisoo unnie feel the same way towards my bestfriend. And it's really a good thing.

After we ate our lunch, I went inside my room to take a rest. I spotted Ten comfortably sitting on the couch. I quickly lay down on our bed.

"So, Lali, do you have feelings for Jennie?" I was choked by my own saliva because of his question. I glared at him.

"Are you somehow teasing me again, Chittaphon?" I irritatedly asked that made him laugh.

"I'm just asking. There's nothing wrong with that, right?" I tsked.

"She's just my friend, Ten." I simply said.

"Yeah, friend." He teased. I mentally rolled my eyes.

The door opened and ofcourse, it's Bambam who's holding bottles of Soju.

"Let's go and drink, buddies!" He then put the bottles of Soju on the floor and sat. We raised a brow on him.

"It's still early for that, Bam." I said.

"There's no specific time for this, noona. So come on. Let's enjoy!" He said. I groaned in annoyance. I sat on the floor beside him. While Ten sat beside me.

"You're really serious about this." Ten said. It made Bam laugh.

"I'm always serious."

"Not always." I stated. He glared at me. I just shrugged and chuckled.

In the midst of enjoying the bottles of Soju while chatting, we heard a knock on our door. Bam stood up to open it. We saw Jennie looking down and begun to fiddle with her fingers.

She's nervous.

"Ahm, Jen? What are you doing here?" Bam asked.

"Ah, I just want to ask if I can join you? It's kinda awkward in our room. Sunmi's not talking to me. Busy with her phone." She awkwardly said. I found it cute.

"Ofcourse! The more, the merrier, Jen. Come on." She went inside and quickly sat beside Ten. Bam sat again after that. Jennie is still playing with her fingers.

I grabbed a new bottle of Soju and opened it for her. I put it down infront of her.

"Drink that. Don't be nervous, Jen. It's just us. We're friends, right? So no need to be uncomfortable with us." I softly said. She lifted her eyes on me and let out a small smile. She then grabbed the bottle of Soju I opened for her and took a sip.

"She's right. We're friends, Jennie. And you're already a part of our squad. So be comfortable with us from now on. We're not bad persons. So stop being nervous and uncomfortable towards us." Ten said. Jennie just nodded on him.

We continued drinking until 2 in the afternoon. We're not drunk but we can already feel the effects of the alcohol. Jennie went back in their room. I and Ten quickly lay down on our bed. While Bam went outside for sightseeing.

"I'm already tipsy." I heard Ten mumbled.

"I'm more tipsy than you, Ten. You knew that I have a low tolerance in alcohol." He let out a chuckle.

"I should've stop you from drinking 3 bottles." He said that made me laugh.

I closed my eyes. But I wish I hadn't. I just imagined Jennie with me, happily running together. Her gummy smile. It's the best smile I've ever seen. She's so perfect. I just wish that she feel the same way towards me. I just wish that I'm making her heart flutter, too.

I have to admit this to myself. I already inlove with my Nini, Jennie Ruby Jane Kim. I just wish that she will love me like the way I love her.

Jennie

When I came back in our room, Sunmi was not there. Well, I'm kinda thankful.

I quickly lay down on my bed. Lisa's bright smile suddenly came in my mind.

I wish, you'll love me not just as friend. But more than that.

This is my first time loving a girl. No. I mean, a woman. And I want this first time of mine to be memorable. I do really love her. But the problem is, I don't know if I will tell my feelings. I don't want her to ignore me after my confession. I can't imagine my life without my Lili.

Every second with her are very important to me. Every moment with her, I want it to be memorable. She, my Lili, she's my safe haven.

I was about to close my eyes to sleep when I heard continous knock on the door. I irritatedly stood up and opened it. I almost jump when I saw Rosé smiling ear to ear. She quickly entered my room and sat on my bed. I close the door and raised a brow on her.

"What's the matter? You're smiling ear to ear." I said. She giggled.

"Jisoo unnie is making my heart flutter every second. I'm inlove, Jennie unnie." She said, almost like a whisper. I mentally rolled my eyes.

I feel you, Rosé. I'm inlove, too. With your bestfriend.

"Why don't you confess your feelings to her?" I asked.

"I'm afraid that she might reject me." She then pouted.

"Why not try? I think, she feel the same way towards you." I said, trying to motivate her.

"I don't think so, unnie. Anyway, I know that you have feelings for Lisa." I gulped hardly when I heard it from her. "Don't worry, unnie. I have this feeling that she likes you too. Or more, she loves you too." She teased. I rolled my eyes on her.

"Stop giving me false hopes, Chaeng. I know that she's freaking straight." I said, but there's sadness in my tone.

"Trust my words, unnie. I'm 100% sure." She said and playfully winked.

What if it's true? That Lisa loves me too? But she's afraid too to confess it?

Aish. Maybe not. Maybe Chaeng really just giving me false hopes.

"You know what, I didn't imagine that Lisa and Ten will end their relationship. Their relationship was so perfect. They're not even arguing for a long period of time! Well, when they argued, they'll fix their problem immediately. And another thing is, they really love each other. The way they look at each other's eyes, the way they laugh together, the way they smile towards each other, the way they hug each other, the way they hold each other's hand, and the way they share a kiss, you can tell immediately that their love was true. So somehow, I'm sad that they broke up. But it's a good thing that they're still friends." She seriously stated.

She's right. She's definitely right.

"What was the real reason why they broke up?" I confusingly asked.

"I know you noticed that these past few days, they're acting cold towards each other. No time for each other. No time to talk. No time to date. No time to spend their day together. Always busy with some stuffs. Not even texting nor calling each other. Maybe that's the reason. Or maybe, there's still another reason behind their break up." She explained. I furrowed and gave her a confusing look. She let out a deep sigh.

"I heard their conversation when they broke up." She added.

"Uh, so? What was the real reason of their break up?" I repeated my question earlier.

"It's confidential, Jennie unnie. I don't have the rights to tell it to you. But one thing is for sure, they still love each other, but at the same time, both of them have feelings for someone else." She stated that made me to be confuse more.

"Confused?" I heard Chaeng asked. I slowly nodded. "You'll understand it soon, unnie. I'll go back in my room now. I want to cuddle with Jisoo unnie." She said and exited my room.

I wish, that someone you love is me, Lili. I'm still hoping.

The next day, I woke up because of Sunmi's loud voice. She keeps on patting my arm while calling my name. Aish. She's so loud.

"I'm still sleepy." I said, almost like a whisper. She tsked.

"Come on, Jennie. We need to enjoy the view outside! The whole squad need to be present there!" She hissed. I irritatedly opened my eyes.

"Tell them that I need to sleep more." I coldly said and was about to go to sleep again but she threw a pillow on me. Aish. What's wrong with her?

"I will count to three, Jennie. If you didn't fix yourself after that three counts, I will really call Lisa to shower you." My eyes widened as I sat up on my bed. She chuckled because of my sudden action.

Yesterday, she's not talking to me so it's so awkward here. And now, she's creeping me out. She's weird.

"Why did you sat up? You didn't want her to shower you?" She jokingly asked. I rolled my eyes on her. "Wow. You really have a bitchy attitude, huh." I groaned in annoyance. I stood up and entered the bathroom to shower.

After I took a shower, Sunmi kept insisting me to wear my two-piece but I keep on saying no.

"Don't be such a kill joy, Jennie. Besides, don't worry because I will wear my two-piece too. So wear yours." She insisted once again.

"I.don't.want.to.Sunmi." I said and just wore a crop top and a cycling instead. I heard her mumbled something but I just shrugged it off.

After changing our clothes, we already went outside the resthouse. We spotted the rest of the squad enjoying playing in the water. While Mina and Bambam are grilling meats. My eyes quickly searched for Lisa and I spotted her playing with Ten.

They're really look good together. But since I have feelings for Lisa, I immediately felt bitterness inside me because of what I saw.

"Jennie, are you just going to stand there?" I heard Sunmi asked, while playing in the water already. I just walked towards Bam and Mina.

"Yow, Jen, good morning." I just smiled at him. I just watched the squad while playing happily in the water.

Irene and Wendy and Joy are splashing water to each other, Sunmi and Seulgi are happily swimming, Jisoo unnie and Chaeng are just chatting while playing with the water, and Ten and Lisa are obviously enjoying their moment.

And I'm jealous.

"Jennie unnie, why don't you join them? You need to have fun." Yeri said. I shyly smiled.

"I don't have a partner. Look WenReneJoy, Sunmi and Seulgi, ChaeSoo, and TenLisa." I said, but my tone was obviously have sadness.

"Aw, Bam, join her."

"You should join her, Kim Yerim. I will just keep on grilling these annoying meats." Bam replied.

"Ah, I'm okay here, guys. I can just stay here." I shyly said.

"You need to have fun, Jen." Bam said. I looked down and played my fingers. I feel out of place. The only person I'm close to was Lisa and Chaeng.

Bam was about to speak again when I felt someone's hand wrapped on my waist. I looked up and saw Lisa smiling at me.

"He's right, Nini. You need to have fun. Come and join us. Ten wants you to join us too." She softly said.

Here's this feeling again. She's making my heart flutter again.

"I smell something." They both teased. I quickly felt my face heating. I'm blushing.

"Aww my Nini is blushing." Lisa cutely said as she slightly pinched my cheek. I mentally rolled my eyes but deep inside, I'm happy.

My Nini. So she's owning me, huh.

She held my wrist and pulled me towards Ten who's smiling teasingly at us while looking on my hand that Lisa's holding. I blushed again.

When we started walking in the water, Ten pulled Lisa away from me and gave her a tight hug.

I got jealous again.

He's her first love, Jennie. So get ready enough to see them being sweet again. They used to do it before.

Ten averted his eyes on me.

"I really like you for my Lali, Jen." He said and I saw sincerity in his eyes.

"Stop kidding around, Ten. Anyway, Jen, why don't you swim?"

"I'm kinda not in the mood right now. I'm sorry. I'll just go back inside." I turned my back on them and started walking back inside the rest house. I quickly went in the rooftop as I sat on the wooden floor.

Why do I have to love someone like her? She's too perfect. While I'm not. Her eyes are always smiling with her perfect lips. She's really making me crazy. I'm madly and crazy inlove with my Lili. With my only Lili.

"A penny for your thoughts?" I almost jumped in surprise. I turned my head and saw Lisa. She sat beside me. A towel was wrapped on her shoulders.

"A-Ah, I thought you're going to swim?" I asked.

"I changed my mind. I can't let you sitting alone here." She softly said. It made my heart flutter. She's really a kind-hearted person.

I was completely froze when she wrapped her arm on my shoulder and leaned her head on my another shoulder.

"Let me tell you a story, Nini." I just nodded. "The woman have a boyfriend. They really love each other. They knew that their love for each other was true. Everytime, the guy always making the woman's heart flutter. They're really perfect for each other, said by the woman's friends."

Just like her and Ten.

"They met each other when the woman went abroad for some reasons. But one day, the guy said he needs to go back in his hometown because his parents needed him that time. The woman had no other choice but to let him. But the guy promised that he will still love the woman despite of their long distance relationship. After some weeks, the woman went back in SoKor with her bestfriend. And when she came back, her man transferred in her school. So they met again. And nothing's changed. They really still love each other." She continued.

Right. Their love for each other was really true.

"That day, the woman met a girl. That girl was really pretty and stunning. The woman suddenly felt her heart melted when she saw the girl's smile. Days had passed when she suddenly realized that she developed a crush on that girl. Then suddenly, the woman and her boyfriend became cold towards each other. Until they both decided to end their relationship. They still love each other, but at the same time, they both developed a deep feelings towards someone else. That's the reason why they broke up."

I suddenly became confused. It's familiar to what Chaeng told me earlier.

"The girl became more clingy to the woman after that. Then suddenly, the woman came to her senses. She realized that she already love the girl. But she's afraid to confess her feelings thinking that the girl was totally straight. And she didn't want to be rejected that early. Until now, she's still keeping her feelings for that girl. And she didn't know if she will ever have the guts to confess it to her." She added. My hand was suddenly being held by her free hand.

"Do you think the woman should confess her feelings for the girl? I think yes, Nini. Before it's too late. As they said, there's nothing wrong on trying." She softly said.

"I agreed with you, Lili." I replied. She removed her head on my shoulder and straightly looked into my eyes as she removed her arm that's wrapping on my shoulder earlier.

The eyes that I really love.

Just like what she said, I think I should tell her my feelings now. I don't want to miss this perfect chance. There's no turning back.

I was about to speak when she stopped me.

"You know what, the story I told you was based on real life. And the characters in that story, was actually Ten, me, and you, Nini." I was surprised about what she said.

Does it mean...?

"Yes. He's the guy. I'm the woman. And you're the girl." She added. My mouth agaped.

She held my hand using her both hands and caressed it.

"As I said, there's nothing wrong on trying. So I don't care if you'll ignore me after this. But I need to tell it now. I love you, Jennie. I didn't know when did it started. But I'm sure about my feelings for you. I love you. I really do. Everytime you're being clingy to me, everytime you're flashing your gummy smile on me, everytime you're calling me by the nickname you made, my heart is melting. You, Jennie Kim, is always making my heart flutter, and always making me crazy. That caused me to be madly and crazily inlove with you." She said, and I saw sincerity and seriousness in her eyes.

Is this for real? The woman I love feel the same way?

She let out a deep sigh.

"There. I already said it. I succeed." I didn't waste a time. I quickly hugged her tightly. I know, she was surprised by my action but I don't care. I just really happy.

"Thank you for loving me, Lisa. But..." I purposely didn't finish my sentence. She quickly pulled away. I tried to stop myself on laughing when I saw sadness in her eyes.

"I know, I know, Jennie. But you can't love me back. I know." She sadly said. I flashed my gummy smile that caused her to be more surprised.

"But I love you more than you love me, Lisa." I happily said. Her eyes widened because of what I said. But she quickly smiled after.

"Really?" I nodded. She happily stood up and pulled me closer to her. And here, we happily hugged each other.

How can I be so inlove with this woman? But it's now alright. The important thing was, we love each other now.

"God knows how much I love you, Nini. I will always love you." She whispered in my ear. My smile went wider.

"And God knows how happy I am right now because the girl I love said she loves me too." I whispered back.

Nothing's gonna change my love for my Lili. Nothing and no one.
