Why is he back? What happened that make his plans change and he had to take care of himself? She blushed; the image was clear in her mind as she ran her palm down her face as she stared up at the ceiling. The crack through the curtains let moonlight seep into her bedroom, casting a sliver of light across her room.
she buried her flushed face into her cushion and pulled her blanket over her head. “f**k… What is happening?” she shouted into her pillow and fell asleep.
The sun was barely up, and Marco was on his way to the training grounds. Antonio is seated at the table, “morning.” Marco greeted everyone “morning son” Antonio greeted back. Grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge, he saw Freya standing there in a tracksuit still sleepy. He handed her the bottle of water and got another one for himself.
“Morning sis good to see you are awake and ready for training,” Marco said to Frey with a smile. “Nope not awake, and not ready and I want to go back to bed,” Freya replied with a moaning voice. Marco laughed and punched her playfully. “Where is Ava, why is she not ready yet?” he asked. “Ava is out already. She will be training alone from now on.” Antonio replied.
“We’re a pack, we train together.” He frowned and walked to his father. She always loved to train and was one of the best fighters in the pack. Well, she was when he last saw her 5 years ago. Freya grabbed his arm. “Don’t, Marco … for once, let her go,” she said looking up at him. He saw the pain in her eyes.
“What happened?” he asked, his voice almost a growl. Freya lets go of his arm and took a step back. Marco took a deep breath trying to calm down.
“I-it’s not my place to say… but when the others saw her wolf form… she faced a lot of bullying, especially from our pack. And then, one day, things got out of hand…” she whispered, her voice barely audible. Marco listened, anger rising within him.
“What happened?” He asked, his eyes flashing dangerously. His alpha scent rolled off of him, fear filling Freya, although she knew he would never hurt her, her wolf side still knew an alpha and fear settled in.
“I wasn’t even there…so I do not know, so you would have to ask her yourself. Even mom and dad don’t know,” she said.
“Where can I find her?” he asked Freya in a soft but sad voice. He wished he knew about this before she left for training and her studies.
“She’s out in the woods she does not always train at the same place, so no one knows,” Freya replied, hoping that Marco would just let this go, but it seems that he is very upset. “Let it go, Marco…”
“I can’t Frey,” Marco said as he left the mansion, he really looks upset.
After a couple of hours of trying to sniff out her scent, he finally gave up and head back to the mansion. That is when he smelled her scent coming from the gym. She’s boxing and kicking a punching bag, sweat dripping from her with every punch. Her hands were wrapped but he could see they were now torn at the knuckles. She looked as smoking hot as ever, sweat trickling down her bare stomach, her choppy hair tied in a messy bun on the top of her head as a lot of loose strands framed her face.
He stands behind the punching bag holding it for her to punch. “Why are you not training with the pack?” He asked, making her pause. She turned and wiped her forehead, dressed in black yoga pants and a red sports bra that she was squeezed into, she was showing off a lot of cleavages. It reminds him of the day of the attack, in her lace white bra.
Damn! He thought. So many women will kill to look this good in that. She spoke, bringing his head back to the present. He shook his head and turned to her.
“Why are you here?” She asked just as last night’s event returned to her mind. She blushed; glad her face was already red. Marco smiled at her handing her the towel to dry her head.
“Because you are not with the pack , and I wanted to know why,” he explained as he crossed his arms. As much as he wanted to kiss her, and touch her, he did not trust himself. Last night had been a clear eye-opener to exactly what he thought of her and they are alone in the mansion.
“I prefer to train alone,” she said turning her back on him. As she bent down picking a fresh bandage to wrap over her hands, his gaze fell to her ass. f**k, he thought immediately walking forward and touching her ass. Making her stand up and turn around. He pushed her against the wall, making her unable to move.
“Alpha’s orders, baby girl. We’re a pack. We train together,” he said. She frowned pushing him away.
“Please do not make me do this, dad said that it is fine,” she said to him, quietly. He closed the gap between them, grabbing her by the elbow and spinning her around. He pushed her against the wall as he stared into her eyes, rubbing her arm. She could feel that he was angry because his grip on her arm tightened.
“I’m Alpha and when I give an order you obey it!” He growled. Her intoxicating scent filled his senses and the urge to bury his nose in her neck almost overtook him.
“I have my reasons, Marco, now please let it go!” She snapped her arm back, clearly not scared. “I hate how you always want everything to go your way!” Her own eyes flashed silver. Both wolves stared the other down, it shocked Ava that she could still hold her own against him. Marco has always been bigger than the rest of the Alphas. Seeing a she-wolf hold her ground was intriguing and more so for so
long. Even an alpha’s mate did not hold this much power over an alpha.
“Tell me what happened, please? I need to know,” he said, lowering his face so he was staring into her eyes. Taking her wrists, he pinned them against the wall next to her head, the move only making her core throb and her stomach erupting in butterflies.
Both were breathing heavily, their chests now pressed against each other. She pulled her leg up and wrapped it around his waist, needing him to kiss her. The heat of the other’s bodies only made both their heartbeats quicken.
“Fine! But let’s sit down” She struggled in his hold. Marco blinked and stepped back.
“Tell me now please?” he said, crossing his muscular arms.
“On one condition. You will do and say nothing,” she said He glared at her.
“Don’t push me, babe,” he warned. “Do you want to know or not?”
“Fine,” he snapped, slamming his hand into the wall.
“When I first turned, some of the guys saw that my wolf form was bigger than theirs, they began to tease me.” she started, walking over to a bench near them, and sitting on it, staring at the floor. “They got a little out of hand, starting to throw physical jabs that maybe I was part Lycan wolf. Even that only pissed me off for the fact they were being f*****g bastards. Our pack is supposed to be safe. I did tell dad about that considering it could be hurtful to others, and things did get better… for a bit… until there was a party. Some of them had drunk way more than they should have… some of them decided to go into the woods. I did not want to until they said I was too scared, so I went…” Marco listened. He got angry because he did not like what had happened to Ava, not at all
“We shifted and ran off into the woods, away from the party. I was the only female with six of the males. They had planned it from the start. I only realized the other females were gone when they’ve thrown me to the ground, they said they wanted to see what my gender. Was I a female or male…” Ava stopped, hating the feeling of helplessness. Feeling sad just talking about it, that was overcoming her. Hating how weak and alone she had felt that night.
Marco’s jaw was clenched in anger, rage coursing through him. He felt disgusted at the fact he had such bad pack mates. Marco only got angrier when he realized how she had been treated and he did not know about it.
“They looked, laughed, and through the mind link, they joked that they should test if I really felt like a she-wolf should, and so they did. I wasn’t able to fight them off for long. They r***d me. They took turns one by one…, it was six against one… there you have it. So, I’d rather avoid them,” she finished, standing up like she hadn’t just told him such a shocking piece of information. Trying not to let the emotions overcome her she did not cry, and she would never give anyone that satisfaction of seeing her weak.
“Who are they.” Marco’s rugged growl came. Her eyes widened, realizing he was emanating anger as an oven did heat.
“You agreed to let it go, Marco -”
“This is not something I can just let go of, Ava!” He shouted, his canines elongated, and Ava’s heart skipped a beat seeing him getting so worked up over her. She stood up from the bench and turned to him, bravely cupping his face.
“Marco, please calm down. This happened five years ago… I’m ok and I’m fine training alone, don’t stress over it,” she said, feeling the stubble on his jaw graze her fingertips
He looked up at her, his dark green eyes flickering back to light green. He placed his hands on her hips, not missing how good she felt in his hands. She was the right amount of thickness and meat. His chest heaved as he glared up at her. He pulled her close to him. Her soft lips look so delicious and juicy.
“Names, Babe please?” he growled, looking into her large, soft blue eyes that seemed to calm him down despite how f*****g angry he felt. The shock was clear in her now even larger eyes. She pouted.
“No Marco please let it go,” she replied stubbornly. Glaring at him she removed her hands from his face and tried to push him away. He did not budge, his eyes darkening as he pulled her onto his lap.
“You now I cannot let this go, you are mine I need to protect you,” he said huskily and, before she could even comprehend what was happening, his lips fell on hers with force.
