CHAPTER 20

After they were done with their food, now the atmosphere became a little awkward. Lucia tried to avert her eyes from seeing the beauty of the city through the large window of Alexander's apartment, while the man was still sitting in his work chair holding a thick book that he had not read at all. This situation irritated him, even though he likes silence, he never had a problem if he had to be silent all day long. But, at this moment, the silence that had created made him almost crazy. It would be better to hear him babble—he thought. He put the book back on the table, then he walked slowly over to the woman who was engrossed in herself. However, just as he was about to sit beside her, the woman immediately turned to him and put some distance between them using a sofa cushion. "I know you like it, but it's still too early." Hearing that, Alexander laughed, while Lucia looked at her with a surprised look. “Oh my… what are you thinking?” “W-what else? You want to approach me because you want to do it again, right?” The man felt exasperated at Lucia's current expression. The woman was like a ferocious female cat, who was cute inside—he thought. "I didn't think about it though. But, since you think like that, I suddenly feel a little excited,” he teased as he glanced at Lucia's body. Lucia shrieked, she immediately covered her body with a sofa cushion that was there. “Th-it's still early!” Alexander felt increasingly exasperated, he did not stop there. He pulled Lucia's body into his arms, then he teased her by burying his face in her chest, making her giddy with amusement. "I'll eat you," he teased. "Sir!" For a long time, they acted like a pair of children, teasing each other until finally the atmosphere that had been awkward was now more comfortable. Alexander pulled the woman's body into his arms tightly, then opened the window of his apartment wide. Instantly the wind blew against their skin. It was very refreshing—he thought. "Why are you silent?" "What else should I do?" asked Lucia in surprise. Let alone doing other things, just moving is difficult at this time. Her body was too small compared to Alexander's sturdy and muscular body, it was practically impossible for her to move at that time. "You were looking at the window so closely, now the window is open, why don't you take out some of your heads and stick out your tongues?" he joked with a smirk that irritated Lucia. "I'm not a dog," she snapped, pouting at his lips, and that made the man even more furious. “I don't know what you call it, but you're much cuter than a dog or cat.” “Damn it,” Lucia cursed quietly. “W-what?!” "Not. It is nothing." The woman tried to give her a little room to move, but Alexander hugged her so tightly. "Master, can you let me breathe more comfortably?" "If you're having trouble breathing, I'm ready to give you artificial respiration." “Master… I am serious.” The man finally let go of his embrace, but his legs still locked Lucia's body not far from him. "Already." Lucia took a deep breath. "Never mind, I will never win against your stubbornness." The woman grabbed her novel, then read it so that she could take her mind off her and her gaze on Alexander, who was still looking at her intently. He didn't know how nice it felt to have someone by his side, at least to have someone to talk to and fight too, of course. Suddenly he plopped down in Lucia’s lap, like a child who likes to be spoiled by their mother. It was so warm, he didn't know when was the last time he had it. He grabbed one of Lucia's hands, then placed it on top of her head. "Wipe my head." “W-what? It's rude—" “You are my lover, so treat me like a lover.” Lucia took a deep breath. She rubbed Alexander's head even though it was awkward and doubtful. This was the first time she rubbed someone's head. Rudolf hated it so much. He said when she was rubbed like that, it was like a dog. Alexander's hair is so soft, it feels good to be able to stroke it or even mess it up a bit. Was he so lonely that he would do something like that? She thought. "Do it right! Gently wipe!” “Oh my… you complain a lot, sir.” He ignored Lucia's words, choosing to close his eyes and feel the warmth of her hand as he gently stroked her hair. As for Lucia, the woman chose to read a book while stroking the head of Alexander, who was slowly starting to feel extremely sleepy. A few minutes passed, the woman heard the soft snoring of the man who was now fast asleep in her lap. When she glanced at Alexander, apparently the man was indeed fast asleep and very adorable. "You little boy," she whispered. Slowly she put Alexander's head on the pillow, her legs began to feel sore from supporting the man's body. Although at first she was worried that he would wake Alexander up, in the end she managed to do it. However, just as she was about to leave, Alexander's hand suddenly pulled her into a hug, making it impossible for her to run away anymore. The man was still sound asleep in his sleep, so calm, but his control over Lucia had not diminished in the slightest. The woman sighed heavily, in Alexander's arms. She could feel the warmth of the man's body well. Her heart was beating so loudly that she was worried that someone else would hear it. The smell of the man's body was like magic to her, very different from Rudolf, who used to sometimes do the same thing when they were still lovers. Alexander's embrace was much warmer and more comfortable. She didn't understand the reason, but slowly she began to feel sleepy after being tired of trying to escape from the man's embrace. Slowly but surely, Lucia's eyes began to close tightly and welcome the dream world. It was there that he could meet her grandmother or someone he could consider her parents, whose whereabouts were unknown. Samantha—her grandmother, was the one who found her when her parents dumped her. At that time, Samantha was a cook at an orphanage. Because of Samantha's persistence, she was finally able to adopt Lucia when she decided to quit the job and bring Lucia back to her residence. Even though she couldn't live in wealth, at least it was thanks to Samantha that he felt she had a complete family. Lucia's soft snoring could now be heard, indicating that the woman had fallen asleep. Alexander opened his eyes slowly, then looked at Lucia who was now fast asleep. "I won't let you run away from me. If necessary, I will anchor the ship so you can't get away from me," he whispered.
