Alicia POV                Life in the outlands is hard. But after 18 years you eventually get used to it. Now how do you get used to living like a dog in a tent, with no good food or decent water. Well I can't say mainly because I don't know. My advice, SURVIVE. Do whatever you have to do just stay alive and keep fighting cause you can't give those walking serpents the pleasant of seeing you dead. At least that's what my father told me but at last. Theres only so long a person can go im before he gives up.                I grew up in the outlands so automatically life is hard. I grew up watching my back, avoiding vampires, witches and of course the grade a pain in humanity's ass, dragons. I learnt faster than everyone. Maybe because I had the zeal the kick dragons butt or the fact my dad was training me. I became an amazing dragon slayer. I killed them as they tried attacked me with no regrets. Just as they killed us with no regrets. You might be thinking oh well you guys are the same monsters right. Well nope first of all I don't kill dragonets while dragons kill human kids, and I attack most times in self defence.                   The camp site has surely had seen better days. I mean from faded hole ridden tents to broken pegs. Feeding was becoming a problem I return with less and less animals sometimes I have to venture into the main kingdoms lustrous forests and stay hidden to receive good animals. The only river and our only source of water had been poisoned. It was annual river poison where the water turn green and disgusting for months. Life is especially hard these days.                      My dad and mom hate it when I go into the city but even they know I have to go. If I don't go we will all starve to death. During the river poison time..many die. And the rule is whenever a person dies we all bury the person. Family or not we stick together cause we are survivors. The main kingdoms it self was beautiful. Amazing so large and filled with lights. I hated the fact that I loved coming over here.                   I tried to avoid it I always went into the thick green Savannah like area. With lots of grass and prey. My father made bow and arrows out of trees we fell and distributed them to everyone. I became extremely skilled in mine. I tried to blend in with the grasses thats why I wore camouflage . Ok back to the tasks at hand I need to find a good deer. That could feed at least three families and hopefully the other hunters are having better lock than me.                  I followed the footprints till I found a small group of deer grazing a few meters away. I sneaked behind it quietly. Relying on nothing but tip toes is risky for a hunt so thank God I brought my arrows. I lay down on the ground and stayed quietly and calmly not making a sound, barely breathing. I took aim at the deer grazing just a few feet away from me. And then...... I let go                   The arrow flew and landed were its neck meets its um shoulders. The deer fell down hard and its friends ran away not even bothering to help it. Aww poor deer. If animals are back stabbers what about humans. I dragged the deer by its leg and started pulling it home. Until..... Well this is the part were this story gets interesting.                 As I dragged the deer I nearly drooled from the delicious smell in the air. It smelled divine kinda like vanilla and strawberry ice cream. Though its been a long time since I had ice cream though but I will always remember the smell.  Gosh it smelled good enough to eat. A flash of wing flew passed me as I dropped the deer and picked up my slayer stick. The slayer stick was made by my dad to hurt and kill dragons. It was great stick. It was good for hurting dragonsn all you had to do is stab their heart with it. There was something at the tip of the stick that is irritating to their body.             The wing past again and my heart beat increased not in fear but the amazing smell got stronger what is this. Before I could process what going on a large dragon landed two inches close to me. My first instinct whenever I see a dragon is to kill it or be killed but for the first time as I looked into its eyes my legs literally where tied to the ground.                 Dragons are beautiful creatures. They were different types though Rain, water, earth, fire and ofcourse night. Night dragons where the most powerful and humans worse enemies. The dragon before was obviously a night dragon. From the black scales to the three red beautiful strokes on each side of its body. The dragon growl spelt a warning that said runaway and never come back. But for some reason I knew he won't attack.              We kept staring at each other until I turned my back dragging my kill and made to leave.        "Wait!" Someone called.    Cliché much?    I turned and was greeted by a magnificent being. He was beautiful. Absolutely amazing. From his bright green eyes to his pitch black hair he was gorgeous (And ripped) and also twice my size.         "You know the rule....human no hunting in the main kingdom. You aren't even suppose to step in here" He said.        Oh s**t he has a deep voice too. Hello Mr world.          "What are you going to do about it". I challenged.       " Your gambling with your life sweetheart. I could kill you faster than you can blink" He declared.    "But you won't. If you have wanted to you could have done it a long time ago" I said.     In a second he was beside me. I stumbled back in shock at how fast he is.    "Your my mate love. Why would I harm you?" He asked calmly.          "You tell me".     He smiled and circled me slowly. " What's your name Angel " He asked.     I hesitated a while before I answered "Alicia"     He paused. A brief look of emotion called shock passed his face before he covered it up with a smile.      "Alicia the dragon slayer. So we finally meet"
