Worst mistake

Kaiden, who had been watching her from afar, quickly rushed over to her and held her close to him so she wouldn't do something crazy. Mia on noticing someone holding her, then turned to see Kaiden. Mia turned to see Kaiden standing behind her, his eyes narrowed in concern. She pushed his hand away, feeling a surge of independence. "I'm fine, Kaiden," she slurred, her words barely intelligible.

But Kaiden wasn't having it. He grasped her waist, holding her steady as she swayed. "Stop making me look stupid, Kaiden," Mia said, her voice rising in anger.

Kaiden's expression turned cold. "Stop acting childish, Mia, and get a hold of yourself," he snapped, his grip on her waist tightening.

Mia tried to push him away, but Kaiden held firm. She stumbled, and he caught her, his chest pressing against hers. For a moment, they stood there, locked in a tense standoff.

And then, Mia spoke, her words slurring together. "You smell beautiful, just like wild rose and snow."

Kaiden's expression changed, his eyes flashing with surprise. He pushed Mia away, his face stern. "Keep it down, Mia. You're making a scene."

But Mia was beyond reason. She let out a loud laughter, and then, to Kaiden's horror, she began sobbing.

He wasn't prepared for this. He wasn't prepared for the way Mia's tears made him feel. He wasn't prepared for the way her words made him feel.

. He locked the door behind them, his heart racing.

Mia collapsed to the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. Kaiden stood over her, his fists clenched, unsure of what to do.

Kaiden wasn't ready for all this drama as people had begun looking at them, so he had no choice but to pull her from the floor where she was bending and sobbing and then carried her into one of the VIP'S rooms despite her being adamant as she pulled her there. As soon as they get into the room, Mia pushes Kaiden to stagger, but then he gets himself and quickly locks the door so no one comes in.

Mia suddenly fell to the ground and began crying. Kaiden frustrated by her drama, but was somehow concerned about her, stood beside her, his fists clenched, unsure of what to do.

He then bends over to her, placing his right hand on her shoulder. With a knee on the floor and the other partially bent, he then asks, why are you crying, Mia? What's wrong? Mia suddenly pushed off his hand and then stood up, causing Kaiden to stand too.

Kaiden's expression turned cold. "What do you mean by that, Mia? And what's with you calling me Kaiden? You know better than to address me like that."Looks like you want to lose your job, right??, he then further asked. Yes! Mia exclaimed. I'll be happy if you fire me, Kaiden, I am fed up with everything; you nag a lot, you scold me for every single mistake, and you make my life a living hell. I would be glad to leave, Sarah said.

Cleaning her tears, she then walked over to Kaiden, who was standing close to the door and then tripped, but Kaiden caught her immediately, with his hands on her waist and her hands on his shoulders. On the way back, Kaiden rode at the front with his driver while Mia slept like a Queen at the back. They got to Mia's house, and there Sarah was waiting to receive Mia because she had earlier been called by the driver to come pick her up. Sarah then takes Mia from them, but she is wasted. She wondered why Mia was in such a state, why she was wearing expensive clothing, and why the extra clothes she received from them were for Mia. Something big went down that night, and she couldn't wait for Mia to gain consciousness and explain to her all that happened because she was lost. She then takes Mia inside
