Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3

AXEL SHAW’S POV:-

I took the book from my backpack which was laying on the back seat of my car. I also took a rubber with a pencil. Of course, someone would need a rubber as well as a pencil to erase if there’s some mistake right?

I turned around and began strolling towards hope. As I reached the place where I left her, she wasn’t there, “Where did she go?” I looked around but she was nowhere, “Hope!” I called out but she wasn’t there.

Where is she!

“HOPE!” I called out while stepping to the right side of the forest, it was a very thick forest and it would be impossible to find someone here, but still, I walked in hoping I could find her.

As I was walking while calling her aloud, I hit my feet to a rock, “f**k!” I hissed holding my leg, the pain was intense, I stood up and slowly paced, without putting weight on the feet. As I walked, looking around, hoping I could find her, I noticed someone standing near a tall tree.

I couldn’t see who that was as their back was to me, I strolled towards them and as I reached close to the person I recognized her, “Hope?” hearing my voice she jumped, “Axel! You scared me!” she said putting her hand over her heart. 

“Well, what are you doing here?” 

Why is she so tense? 

“Um...I heard something here, I just came to check!” she looked around, with a nervous smile. 

Why is she looking around? I looked around but there’s no one here except for me and Hope, 

“O..okay, shall we go!” I asked, looking at her, she smiled and nodded her head, we walked back to the waterfall and I watched her draw the waterfall in the book. 

I watched her draw and rub it again and again, she’s disturbed and I could sense it!

 “Are you okay?” I asked, looking at her disturbed face, 

She sighed and looked at me, “I don’t want to draw!” she said, 

“Then don’t, just relax” I smiled and looked back at the waterfall, cool breeze pushed my hair off my forehead, 

“Alex, I wanna ask you something!” she asked looking at the waterfall, 

“Shoot!” I replied, 

“Did you bring your boyfriends here before me!” she asked while chuckling, 

“No!” I laughed,

“You were first, in future if I make one I’ll bring him here for sure,” I said, smiling at the thought. 

If I ever make one! 

“This is a peaceful place!” She said, taking a deep breath while closing her eyes. 

“It is!”

“We should leave or else Lana will kill us both!” I said while standing up and cleaning my pants, I gave my hand to her which she took and stood up pushing her back, 

“Okay!” she said while getting up, we walked back to my car and got inside. I dove her to her house, “Get ready! I’ll be here in an hour,” I said, she nodded her head before getting down from my car. 

I drove off from her house, I put on some music while driving to my place and began singing out loud as I know no one will hear me in my car. 

As I reached my place I parked my car and got out of it while closing the door behind, I  walked through the parking lot and towards my main door but something caught my eye which made me stop in my tracks, I saw three guys ganging against one beating the stit out of him. 

“Hey!” I yelled as I began walking towards them, they stopped beating him once they heard me shouting. 

When I got closer towards them, I looked at the guys who I recognised in just a sec, “Wow, look who we got here, Don’t you have better things to do! Ganging up against one! That’s not fair, Is it?” I said looking at them, 

“Back off, Nerd! Or we would be happy to kick your ass as well!” Asher said, the one with brown eyes and dark brown hair. 

“Oh let’s see that but before that let me tell you something, it’s 6 now, that means my uncle will be coming back and you do know who’s he right!” I said, I noticed them looking at each other, he glanced at me before looking back at each other. 

 They were having a silent conversion, the one we do with our eyes! 

I waited for them to say something, and when they were about to say something someone with a very deep voice spoke from behind us, 

“I think you should leave then,” 

I turned around and I saw the person walking in white skinny jeans and a black t-shirt with his tattooed strong arms and long legs, he was very attractive, and then when it hit me who he was I clenched my jaw. 

Blade Gatlin, 

“You should leave,” he said while standing in front of me, I was surprised to see him a few inches taller than me, 

“What if I don’t, actually you should leave him! Because what happens if I go to Mr.Harper right!” I said looking at each of them, 

I noticed the way his blue eyes roamed over my face and they had anger in them, stepping ahead, 

“You do realise who you’re talking to, Nerd?”

We were staring at each other right in the eye, none of us was backing a bit while we stood nose to nose. 

“We need to leave!” I heard Asher say from behind me, which made me look at him. I turned back and looked at Blade who was glaring at me. 

“This! Is not over, Nerd!” he said before turning back walking to his car, I stood there and watched Asher and the other two follow him to his car. 

They got in and drove from there, “Thank you,” I heard Harold and turned my head to him, I immediately helped him stand. 

“You’re welcome,” I said, he smiled at me while he began walking, 

“If you want I can drop you!” I said when I noticed his struggle, 

He turned around, “It's okay, I can go! My home is just a block away, I can manage!” he said before walking away. 

I walked back to my house and took a relaxing long hot shower. While I was combing my hair while standing in front of the mirror, dressed in a black t-shirt and blue skinny jeans, the way his blue eyes stared into mine flashed in front of my eyes. 

Why did he look at me like that?  

I shook my head, making it disappear from my mind. I wore my dark brown jacket over my t-shirt and took my shoes before walking out of my bedroom. 

I wore my shoes while sitting on the couch in the living room and walked to the kitchen, I opened the fridge door, and took a bottle of water and drank it before putting it back inside and closing the door. 

I locked the door and got inside my car, I took my phone and dialled Hope’s number, 

“Hello!“ she answered, 

“Hey, I’m coming!” I said while starting the engine, 

“Okay, I’m ready,” she replied, 

“See you then,” I said and hung up on her.

I reached her house and parked my car in the parking lot, I got out and walked towards her house. As I hit the calling bell she opened the door and stood there with a smile on her cute face, she was looking beautiful in that marron half shoulder, a high-low shallow tail dress which reached her thighs in the front and her knees in the back. 

Her dark brown hair which from far almost looks black was down, and the lite makeup on her was suited, “You look stunning!” I said with a smile, 

“Thank you,” she said shyly, 

“Shall we!” I said, she nodded and stepped outside while closing the door. We walked to my car and got in. 

While I was driving to Lana’s place, I noticed her playing with the hem of her dress, 

“Are you okay?” I asked keeping my eyes on the road, 

“Yeah, just nervous!” she admitted, 

“Why?” I asked, 

“You know, I’m still new and I feel nervous with people I don’t know,” she said looking at me, 

“Don’t worry, just chill! I won't leave your side” I said, glancing at her. 

“Thanks,” She smiled.

As we reached Lana’s place, I parked the car in the parking lot, “Here we are,” I said while unbuckling the seat belt. 

I heard her take a deep breath while looking at the mansion, I chuckled at her reaction.
