Episode 3: Missing Her

Lucas' Point of View

    "I told you to repeat this report, right?!" I yelled at one of my employees. He's not that stupid but he's not doing his job properly.

    "B-but Sir, I-I've----"

    "Y'know what, one last mistake and I'll kick you out of my company. Got it?"

    "Y-yes Sir!" I throw the wrong files at him. "Get out!"

When he opened the door, that's when my f*ckin' best friend, Connor enters. "Hey man! So hot-headed, eh?"

    "I'm kind of irritated this past days, so just tell me want do you want." I retorted back.

    "Not that much dude... but I want to remind you this old man who still wants to invest in your company. He always bothers me. It's quite irritating now." He whines. Childish guy.

    "Who? Mr. Alonzo? I don't want him in my company. I don't trust him. Maybe he wants to infiltrate my company. I've received a lot of reports about him investing in a certain company then that company will just fall into bankruptcy in no time."

    "Well, you should set an appointment with him. Tell that to him in his face."

    "No, he should come here himself."

    "Fine, I should go now. I don't want him to see me. Bye."

    It's almost 5 PM, time to go home again. Well, that's my routine after I graduated. Home, work, repeat. Even before that I'm still studying. I'm totally focused on everything that I do. Maybe that's the reason why I'm still not yet married at the age of 30. Aside from that, I'm still looking for Ava... my baby girl. I want to find her but my dad won't allow me, he said that we will just see each other in time.

    I stared at her picture that was on my table here in office. Luckily, her parents allowed me to have a copy of her picture the day she was born. But she's still a baby in this picture, I'm sure she's fully grown into a beautiful woman now. A lot of boys will surely fall in love with her. Wait, what the hell! She's mine.

    Ever since I saw her, and Aunt Lila lets me carry her, she fits in my arms. I know she'll be the one for me. I told myself that I just have to wait for the right time. I didn't even dated any girls, 'cause aside from the fact that I'm introvert... I'm still hoping of finding her. I've got no communication with her parents ever since they left. I can't even find her on social media.

    My train of thoughts was distracted when my phone suddenly rang... I looked at the Caller ID and saw that's my dad.

    "Are you ready? We have a dinner tonight with a friend."

    "I know that. I'm on my way." I answered back. I took a last glance on Ava's photo then leaves the office.

I head to the parking lot and starts the engine.

    I was going to pass a school zone, I was so shock when a girl almost hit the front of my car. It's as if she's thrown or what. Luckily, I hit the breaks in time. Then followed by a lot of girls and other students. The girl on the center grabs the hair of the girl that's in front of my car and make her stand. The other girl stands up and I was shocked at what she did. She punched the girl whose grabbing her, in the stomach.

    I get down on my car to stop them. I grab her shoulder. "Hey, you almost got hit. Are you okay?" I asked. Not minding how beautiful she is. She has this long straight hair that looks so soft, and arched brows, round, expressive eyes, pointed nose, plumpy lips and fluffy cheeks. Her red-dyed hair compliments with her skin.

    Anyway, enough with checking her out.

    "I'm okay, Sir" she turned to the other girl, then starts slapping her. Geez! Students nowadays. "When you're starting a fight, make sure you will win. 'Cause I will do anything to prevent you from harming me. Stop messing around or I'll send to the hospital myself." she picks up her bag and starts to walk away.

    Students nowadays, thinks that they're cool when they engage theirselves in a fight. I don't know if they're really studying or just messing around the school.

    I hop in my car then starts driving away.
