Episode 8: Lucas' World

"What do you prefer to do right now?" Lucas asked Ava. They're currently inside the guy's car, on their way to Lincoln's Enterprises. Ava looked flatly at him, looks like her damn attitude wants to come out. Like duh! We're inside the car, what does he want to do with a non-spacious place like this? Ava just rolled her eyes, then suddenly her sight focused on a fast-food restaurant. She immediately taps Lucas' arms rapidly.
"Ouch! Ow! What?"
"Let's drive-thru. I'm hungry." she demanded.
"What!? We just had breakfast from your house."
"So what? I'm hungry." Ava almost shouted.
"Alright, alright. Lower down your voice." Lucas really hates loud and noisy girls. But he's willing to endure his' girl's loudness. For my Queen, I guess that's it.
Lucas maneuvered and goes to the drive-thru fast food. "What do want to eat?"
"Hmm, a lot of fries and chocolate sundae please!"

Ava is happily eating her fries and sundae inside Lucas office. She have to eat to endure what happened a while ago. When they took off from the elevator every employee is looking at them, specially at Lucas' hands that's holding hers.
"Why did you do it?" she asked.
"The what?"
"Duhh! You know what I'm a talking about. Why do you have to hold my hand in here? It's not like I'm going to lose my way here."
"I have to do it 'cause a lot of my male employees are looking at you. That's my way of showing them that you're mine."
Ava looked at him in disbelief. "If you think that I will swoon like a kid in to your words, you're wrong."
"Well, that's the truth... but whatever. Just continue eating."
"Is this really you're office? It's kinda boring."
"It doesn't matter. I am considered as a King in Business Industry anyway."
"Then if that's the case I don't wanna be your Queen."
"What?"
"I bet you're routine is just work then home then repeat. You may be a rich guy, but your life's just so plain and boring. Have ever experienced hanging out?"
"Did Aunt Lila and Uncle Greg raised you like that? Did they raised you like a brat?"
"Am I acting like one? Actually, nope. They didn't raised me as a 'spoiled brat'. I came from a poor family, my parents are your employees before, didn't you remember? They're just letting me to do what I want."
"So you're not saying you're not going to marry me? I thought we're okay?"
"We're okay. It's just that I can take in your lifestyle. We're total opposite. You're too workaholic, while me, I'm a free-willed woman. And marrying you is like caging me in this life of yours. I'm too young to lose my freedom. And I don't want to be anybody's trophy wife." With that being said, Ava turns her heels and walking the door and opens it. She's ready to leave.
She also thought that they will be okay. But getting to know the real Lucas, it's kind of hard for her. She knows that if they we're going to get married, she's sure that Lucas will lock her up.
"Dare to leave me here and you will see yourself walking to me on our wedding day. Believe me, I'll do everything to make that happen as soon as possible!" Lucas shouted.
"Do it. You're a King right?"
Ava left his office banging the door behind. Every employees that passes by looked shocked. She just gave them a glare and starts walking.
Who does he think he is? He may be a billionaire but he's still just an ordinary guy for me. I won't fall for any of his tricks.

F*ck! What's with her? I thought we're okay.
Lucas keeps breathing heavily. He's controlling his temper. He's controlling it specially when he's with Ava. He doesn't want the girl to be scared. But how can I do this?
Ava's right. His life is so boring. He never get a chance to hangout in his younger days. All he does is to make money and spends time in finding her. He never had a chance to date anyone even though there's a lot of girls clinging to him, specially Cindy, a daughter of Mr. Alonzo, that's why he doesn't him in his company 'cause aside from the fact that he doesn't like Cindy, she's too liberated and clingy. She even once announce that they were dating even if that's not the truth. She's crazy, same as her father.
Luckily, Don Alejandro knows what really Lucas wants. And Ava only.
He suddenly thought of Connor... so he give him a call.
"Hey dude! It's a surprise that you called me."
"F*ck you man! I have something to ask you."
"If it's about business, not now dude. I'm having a vacation."
"What? Where are you?"
"I'm in Hawaii. You know, having some fun. Unlike someone there, whose life is so boring. So what are you up to?"
"Is my life that really boring? 'Cause she doesn't want a life like this. She's a carefree woman and free-willed. She said she doesn't want to be in my life."
"What!? Who? Is this Cindy?"
"F*ck dude, no. It's Ava. I already found her." there' a long pause on the other line before Lucas heard a loud laugh.
"For real!? That's nice.But maybe she said was true. Look dude, you said she's different. Then expect her to be happy-go-lucky. I bet she's not the kind of girl whose demure and sweet and such. She will be your great challenge dude. I told you before that you should get to know people or date. At least you'll know how to handle a girl like her."
"You know I'm only into her. What should I do now?"
"Wow! A certain Lucas Lincoln, the King of Business Industry doesn't know what to do. That's a first time dude."
"You know what, you're useless. I'm gonna end this call."
"Just an advice dude, loosen up. Let her take you in her world. Be adventurous, and chill sometimes. I know she's too young for you. You have to adjust if you really want her. Who knows? Maybe you'll like the way she lives her life."
"Fine. Gonna end this."
Lucas ended the call, and now... he's staring blankly at nowhere.
Like I said, this will be tough.
