Episode 6: Talking about Marriage

Marriage is out of the plans of Ava right now. So what she heard makes her mad.
"What are you talking about Sir?" She asked Don Alejandro, while the latter one looked at her Daddy Greg with so much confusion.
"I'm sorry, I didn't tell her yet. She's too young to process all of that. But then I agreed to this meeting 'cause she's on her legal age now." My dad answered.
"Excuse me, please explain all of this. We're not talking about a small thing here." She said loudly 'cause no one's listening to her. She then looked at Lucas, he's not talking the whole time.
Then Mr. Alejandro talks, "I know you don't remember this, but Lucas used to carry you and takes care of you when your parents is out to work. I really liked you for my son that's why, your parents and I planned to set both of you on a wedding. You makes him happy without you knowing it."
Ava blushed at the thought of Mr. Lucas Lincoln used to carry her around and takes care of her. He looks like a fine Bachelor. How old is he anyway? Was this the reason why he's not yet married?
On the other hand, Lucas couldn't think straight. The woman he's been looking for ages is right in front of him. Yeah, surely he saw her a while ago. But this moment makes him swoon like a five-year old kid who saw his crush. Ava grown into a fine young woman, but there's in her aura that screams dominance. Like of a Queen. Indeed, she'll be my Queen.
Ava looks at him then said, "Can we talk outside?" she asks.
He looked at her parents and his dad, as if asking a permission. He's not disappointed when all of them nodded.
"Excuse us, we'll just talk." Ava reasoned out.

"I don't wanna get married yet." Ava instantly said that. They're currently in the restaurant's parking lot.
"Why? You don't like me? Did I grew up ugly?" Lucas reluctantly asked. He's kind of scared of what Ava's reasons are. "Or do you have boyfriend, that's why you don't like me?"
"What?! No!" Ava chuckled lightly. "You're not ugly. In fact, y-you're..." What the heck? Why am I stammering?
"I am what? Please, tell me."
"You're handsome, okay?" she answered back. Lucas looked at her intently. "And I don't have a boyfriend. Well, ex-boyfriend to be exact. He cheated on me, okay?"
"You've got an ex-boyfriend..." Lucas trailed off, he's kind of jealous knowing someone got Ava's attention first. At the same time he's raging mad, how could he hurt the woman I love for a long time now? I'll make sure he'll pay for this.
"Yes, but like what I said he cheated on me. But that doesn't hurts. I didn't loved him anyway, I was forced to 'cause he keeps pestering me." Ava paused.
"Then what's the reason?"
"I don't think I am capable to be with someone. You see, Tyler, my ex-boyfriend is the first guy to have come up to me. But that didn't work. Besides, I have a lot of dreams. By the looks of you, you look like someone whose very important. And I don't want to ruin it. I'm a happy-go-lucky kind of girl. I say what I want and I don't mind if someone gets hurt. I have been always alone. I don't know what it feels like to be with someone or to depend with someone. That's why I don't know what will happen to the two of us." Ava explained.
"You don't have to worry. Be with me. I'll do anything to support you. Whatever happens, we'll just cross the bridge when we get there."
Ava looked at him expectantly. Lucas knew that Ava is afraid of something. She might not let it show, but he knew it.
"Y-you'll never hurt me?" Ava asked.
"No. Not ever." Lucas answered and hugged her tightly.
He's been waiting for this for so long. To have her in his arms again and to be with her everytime.
I'll make sure she's not gonna regret it.
