*Dinner*
Dinner came very early, it was barely dusk.
The chef-in-charge came forward and tasted every dish spread on the table including the drinks. Satisfied, King Nixon signaled at the three waiting servants to begin serving the foods, a duty formerly reserved for Mr. Baldwin.
Queen Neticia glanced at her husband. “About Mr. Baldwin,” she started, swallowing the food in her mouth. “-what becomes of him?” she asked.
“He would be given a fair trial,” King Nixon replied, “-for now, he’s relieved of his duty,” he said.
“When will this trial you speak take place?” Neticia asked.
“Tomorrow,” King Nixon said.
“-Tomorrow?” Damian interrupted his gaze traveling from one parent to the other. “I thought tomorrow is the engagement ball,” he said.
