Prince Eric saw that one of the guardsmen sensed his presence and his heart raced. He hurried to a dark corner of the dungeon, where the lights of the burning torches didn’t stretch. Eric hurried over and he held his breath, steeling his body as his heart palpitated right in his mouth. However, his head swung into action, into thinking his next move before it gets too late. Eric thought about all the possible things he could do if at all he gets spotted by the guardsman. Attack him, trick him, or just surrender to him with pleading that they don’t report him to his father?
Eric couldn’t imagine the consequences, the anger, and the disappointment that would register on his parents' faces, especially his father.
