The Recovery.
Queen Neticia opened her eyes, blinking them over and over again until the images mated before her eyes were clearer, and the voices in the background, more distinguishable. The first thing she noted was that she was lying on a bed in the sickbay, and then the voices in the background belonged to two palatial maids. Queen Neticia wanted to move her body, speak or clear her throat, something to notify the girls that she was awake, but the moment she paid closer attention to their discussion and realized they were discussing her family…she stilled and went into pretense.
The two maids were wrapped up in their discussion, so much they didn’t even notice when Queen first opened her eyes, nor when she reclosed them and pretended to still be unconscious.
