The moment Anna’s soul reentered her body, her body came alive again and she sneezed. She sneezed again and her lashes fluttered open to welcome the first rays of sunlight after what looked like eternity. Her eyes met with blurry images, these images started becoming clearer and clearer, especially the one in whose arms she had regained consciousness. “Papa!” Anna hugged him, wrapping her hands tight around his neck.
“Anna, my cupcake,” her father also held her tight in his embrace. “Oh, how I missed you, cupcake. I missed you so much!” he cried. He really cried, tears clouded his eyes and escaped them.
“I missed you too, papa. Please forgive me, I should have trusted you, papa, I shouldn’t have left,” she cried. They cried and they remained in the other’s embrace.
