[Hello, Layra].
I'm too tired for any conversation so I whisper back.
" Who is this?"
[I am Raeya ,I am your other half,your wolf].
My Wolf is finally here,i am elated but too tired to show it.
"Hello, Raeya, it is a pleasure to finally meet you."
But,Raeya stays awake and I wonder if she has fallen asleep from exhaustion too,however,she suddenly speaks,surprising me.
[I am sorry]
"What could you possibly be sorry for?We just met".
[I'm sorry for everything you had to go through,I have always been with you so I experienced every part of it too without being able to comfort you.]
"I am completely over it,it's honestly not worth the waste of time", I tell her the truth.
[No!We can't let it pass, we have Alpha blood,they are all beneath me]."
"Yes,we need to keep that a secret".
I did not want anyone finding out that,things could easily get dangerous if that information got out.
"Lyra?"
"Yes , Raeya?"
"You have me now,I'll be always here to comfort you."
Lyra smiled softly,happy to have someone on her side.
"I will never leave or forsake you".
I have a smile on my face as I go to sleep,even Kade's ceremony can't take away the joy I feel.
I wake up before dawn,wash my head and face and start prepping for breakfast, considering what a shitty day today will be for me.
I use the mirror on my way out to check out myself, feeling sent
I am in the kitchen when I smell something absolutely delicious and immediately leave what I am doing to find the source of the unrest in my body.
I find myself in front of Kade's room.
I reel back in disgust and unbelief,feeling betrayed.
How could this be when I hated every part of him?There was no time to ponder this , I might as well get the rejection over with so I could proceed with getting over the momentary heartbreak and the moon goodness would owe me a do over.
I hear noises coming from the room and wonder who he could be fuckin already,so early in the day.
I take a deep breath before knowing,A deep voice calls angrily from inside.
" Who the f**k is that?"
"It's Lyra,"I replied.
The woman he was fuckin yelled something that I did not quite grab.
"Is that any of your business,focus your mouth on what you came here for",he tells the lady.
"Come in Layra".
{Kade's P.O.V.}
I am getting pleasured by a skillful omega whose head is bobbing up and down my d**k when I Smell Layra before she knocks.
"It's Layra".
Her scent coupled with a honey voice flips my brain off and leaves only my body to respond as my d**k grows even harder.
"Get the f**k away" the Omega shouts at Layra.
"Is that any of your business,focus your mouth on what you came here for",I say to her, pissed.
I lay back down and push the Omega's head deeper before calling out to Layra.
"Come in, Layra."
She walked in and just the sight of her made me harder but her face only showed disgust and contempt as she saw what I was doing.
"Why are you here?",I ask to divert her attention.
"You should already know the reason",She replies dryly.
I smirk to myself, thinking of how best to reject her so that it was more embarrassing.
Aerys is protesting and wants me to mark her instead but I already have a plan mapped out and I am considering rejecting her now because if I waited,I might not be able to go through with it.
"Get out!",I say to the Omega whose head immediately comes up in shock.
"What?"
"Don't make me repeat myself!".
She hurried out, closing the door and finally leaving them together.
Layra looked from the door and back to him while Kade watched her,her beauty stunning him.
"I'm guessing that you know it too, huh?" I ask her and get up to fluster her with my naked body.
Layra doesn't show anything even with the fact that his d**k is still fully erect.
"I do".
I sneer at her and chuckle as I think of what I have planned for.
"You are sorely mistaken,if you came here to inform me of what I think you are here for".
Layra only stared at Jade waiting for him to let her talk while Kade wonders why she looks so emotionless.He however decided to hurry it up.
"I,Kade Stone, future Alpha of the Crimson Moon Pack, hereby reject you, Laura Crest as my mate",I declare.
She looks up at me and...looks relieved?
She was even smiling like I had not just rejected her.
"That's great",She replies with a smile.
"What?",I asked, perplexed.
"Thank you," she repeats.
"I have been imagining the worst case scenario and never thought it would be this easy,I hate this pack enough as it is,I don't want to be tied to it in anyway",She says calmly.
This was not what I had imagined, Why was I the one hurting instead?
"Layra, what are you..."
"I,Layra, daughter of the late Alpha Matthew Crest of the Silver howl Pack, hereby accept your rejection".
Her acceptance was like a truck had slammed me from nowhere.
It made me question what I had expected, crying and begging?
The pain of our bond-breaking pushes me and I fall back onto the bed,still naked.
But Layra was still on her feet, she was fine . She was the daughter of an Alpha , she had Alpha blood .
Aerys whimpers painfully in my head, My wolf that was an Alpha was howling in pain.
Layra left after seeing his pathetic form groaning,he had wanted to embarrass her but he was the one crying naked.
[I warned you!],Aerys growled.
"You should have told me that she was really an Alpha!".
Kade scrambled for excuses.
[What does that matter? Her blood and her rank had nothing to do with it!You only rejected her because you wanted to hurt her!].
Aerys immediately puts up a wall so that Kade is unable to keep talking to him, Leaving Kade flabbergasted.
(Layra's P.O.V.}
I feel strangely relieved and light after rejecting Kade and immediately rush to the kitchen,I am already a little late and I did not want anyone ruining my mood.
I could still hear Raeya's little whimpers.
"Raeya, I'm sorry."
[It's not your fault, he did reject us first].
She tried to prove that it was not my fault but I knew better.
" I accepted without considering the pain that it would cause you,I'm so sorry".
[It honestly does not hurt as much as I anticipated,I guess it was not meant to be].
"Why would the moon goddess mate me with scum like Kade?"
[I don't know, but I'm sure there are reasons that we can not see].
"You know that after this weekend , we're on our own right ?There is no way I will continue to live here".
[I know and I am here for you, you've been alone long enough, I'll be with you now].
I completed breakfast and laid it all out for easy access before I went back to my room to finish addressing the invites to their owner,I had to finish it in time so it could reach the owners today.
When I finished,I went back upstairs to the kitchen to find everyone still having their breakfast,they all quieted when I walked in and I turned to find Kade looking like he was the stormy weather itself.
Alpha Stone beckoned for me to move close and I walked over.
"Yes?"
