My Rejected Mate

"Did you send out the invites?"

" Yes,I just posted them".

Alpha Stone nodded while stroking his head.

" Good,you can grab a plate since it's your special day".

"Thank you,".

I am truly grateful that I don't have to starve today so I hurriedly take the food and return to my room where I eat slowly, trying to savour every last piece.

I'm guessing It was a birthday miracle that I had gotten.

As I eat, I think of my earlier resolution to find my mate and leave with him but that had fallen through and now,in a few days,I would go rogue.

Three days later

I was pushed out of the way by Darla, Kade's older sister who was being more cranky than she usually was.

She had actually moved out of the pack house a while back and o lu came back for festivities like today's.

Not because she cared about her brother but because everyone had been talking about how lost of the Alpha's and Betas that had been invited were actually unmated.

I had also heard that some of the invited people would be coming along with their unmated daughters to see if Kade was perhaps the one,this would be a fun night.

I secretly hoped that the moon goddess gave him another chance with someone as selfish and evil as he was,how funny would that be?

I pull myself up and head back to the kitchen where I'm putting the final touches to the meal and pray to be left alone during the ceremony but I know that won't happen.

I console myself with the fact that I have just a few hours to continue to accept their s**t.

{Unknown P.O.V.}

I am seated by the window,next to my Beta Jacob as we drive to the Crimson Moon pack for the title change ceremony for the Alpha's son,Kade.

I hated the pack with passion and the only reason I was actually attending this ceremony was to make sure that we ended up as rival packs as soon as Sylvester Stone was no longer Alpha and the treaty was no longer valid.

My father had only accepted the treaty because our pack was smaller and weaker but he had immediately regretted the treaty because then,he had been unable to intervene while Sylvester stone and his pack had gone ok a rampage, taking over other packs.

But,I had changed all that as soon as I became Alpha and grew our pack by making allies and now,our pack was the largest in Western Europe.

"Wake up, sleeping beauty and get out of the damn car," Isaac says, pulling me out of my thoughts .

I give my Beta and best friend the finger before stepping out on Crimson Moon soil.

(Layra's P.OV.}

The pack house was filled with half dressed and fully dressed people running around as the Alpha's and Betas were beginning to arrive,disrupting my last minute add ons.

Everyone seemed to think it was their birthday party today and not Kade's Ceremony.

I could actually understand what it felt like to be meeting so many people for the first time.

The seats were beginning to fill up and I began my work of sharing drinks while fending off dirty looks from the members of the packs and lusty looks from the visitors.

An unfamiliar man grabbed me when I placed drinks on his table and whistled softly.

"You're quite pretty for an omega",he said.

I figured he had a rank but it was not an Alpha rank,so I could not tell.

"Thank you?" I answer without certainty,I saw the look in his eyes and hurriedly ended it before it grew worse.

"I'm underage and except you want to be labeled as a pedophile,You'll leave me alone".

For a ranked wolf, he was quite dense,Anyone could tell from the scent my wolf gave off that I was not underaged.

I did not pay much attention to the event but I did hear the officiating elder praise Kade fo about two decades before they eventually vowed with blood.

When,Kade was eventually pronounced Alpha,everyone was allowed to finally begin the reception phase of the event.

I was sneaking back to my room when someone grabbed me and struck me across the face, I fell down from the mere shock of it and looked up to find Darla glaring at me.

"What is your f**kin problem?" was all I could muster..

"You little psychopath! Are you trying to kill me!?"she shrieked.

"What are you talking about?" I asked from the floor .

"There's cheese in the enchiladas ! You know damn well I am lactose intolerant!".

I blanked,was she stupid?I was the one to blame for the f*****g enchiladas having cheese?

" You should be asking your mum why she added enchiladas to the menu then,you t**t!".

"WHAT!?" she screamed.

"Enchiladas are made with cheese ; it's called for in the recipe, Look it up on the internet,it's one of the things you can do with your phone besides taking pictures," I stood up to my feet.

"Anyone with half a brain would know that enchiladas are made with cheese but I guess I can't blame you ", I laughed.

That last comment earned me another slap , and this time , it was from Jennifer.

"How dare you tramp speak to my daughter in that manner?",She growled or meowed really.

"Mom, she says that you added the enchiladas to the menu",she revealed as she looked over at her.

"Yes,I did".

"What?Mom! I'm lactose intolerant!

"Layra! Why didn't you remind me that Darla was lactose intolerant!?"

"It's not my f*****g job to remind you what your child is allergic or intolerant to . If you can't remember that , then you're one sorry excuse of a mother ",I regretted my wide mouth immediately.

It got me slapped three times.

The third slap had had me on the ground again, and I felt a kick to my abdomen,which knocked the wind out of me .

Jennifer Continued to kick me as she shrieked over my alleged disrespect.

I continued to curse her which only enraged her more as she hit me more and more but who could blame me?

I had so much of their s**t and I could not take it anymore.
