Solaris POV As time went by, the scars of the past started to heal like it was just yesterday when she was around, dancing in the rain. I was at the forest lake near my house—watching the trees dancing as the wind blows, how different kinds of fishes swam in the shining crystal-like lake. I took a sip from my tea while the memories of the past flooded my mind. Up until now, I still can't believe Luna was gone. My beloved woman, the only woman I wished to be the mother of my future child, though..it seems like the heavens have other plans. I can't blame myself after becoming a totally different person from what I was before. Until today, I still blame myself for not being able to save and protect her. Luna...my love, I miss your smile, I miss how you cared for me. I promise I will find the person who killed you—even if I have to sacrifice the world. AUTHOR-NIM: Flashback Solaris has been in the dark ever since his beloved Luna mysteriously died 3 months ago, on a beautiful sunny day Luna was at the backyard garden of their house. She was currently preparing a picnic lunch while Solaris excused himself to go to a Bakery shop. Luna, who was left at the house was happily arranging everything in the backyard garden. Just across the backyard lies a beautiful forest with a crystal-like lake, a place that holds more than a memory of them together. No one knew about the tragedy that was about to happen, who knew that their supposed to be special day, a day Solaris was planning to propose to Luna will be the day of her death. After organizing everything, Luna decided to walk around the garden —smiling while admiring the beauty of her carefully planted flowers. It was a peaceful moment not until she heard something in the forest. Curiosity hit her so she went to the forest while cautiously walking through the traces of dirt path until she reached the center of the forest. She stopped then looked around. "Hello? Is anyone there??" Luna spoke but a minute had passed and she received no answer at all. She stayed for a while, observing in silence. Luna decided to go back but before she could move a pair of hands from behind her covered her airway that resulted for her to slowly suffocate. Of course, Luna tried her best to fight back although it looks like the person behind her is not willing to lose. Luna made a bold move, she kicked the person from behind. It was successful. The moment she turned around, the person straight up lunged forward and stabbed her to her stomach. That mysterious person pulled her closer, making the knife go deeper. For the first time, Luna felt what pain truly feels like. Not physically but emotionally. That time while she was looking straight into the murderer's eyes, all she can think of is how cruel the heavens can be to her. Luna stared painfully into the murderer's eyes, wondering how this person could—out of all people be the one to kill her. Since she can't do anything anymore, she just smiled and wished, if reincarnation truly exists, she wants to be by his side again. In another life, she hoped to finally grow old with the man that always loved her. With her last bit of energy, she muttered her favorite words. "L-let's meet..in the...fields of g-green". Luna fell on the ground, watching the person flee until her last breath vanished. After a while, Solaris happily came back carrying a box of chocolate cake. He straight up went to the backyard garden but found Luna was gone so he carefully placed the box beside the food basket and looked for her. He searched every corner of the house but found no one. He came back to the garden, that's when he noticed the small gate leading to the forest was slightly open—it means someone either came in through or came out. He smiled, thinking that Luna might went to the lake. Grabbing the red velvet ring box from his pocket he began walking through the forest path way. Midway, a faint scent of iron filled his nostrils. His bros furrowed, curious, he continued to walk until a terrifying scene greeted him as soon as he reached the center of the forest near the lake. The small box he's been holding fell from his hand. He froze. It became too hard for him to even breathe. "No...no, no, no. It can't..." Solaris frantically murmured. He refused to believe it. As he fully approached, that's when he confirmed. Solaris fell on his knees, his body was shaking and tears began to pour from his amber eyes. He reached out to the dead body in front of him, his hands shaking. As soon as he saw Luna's face, he couldn't control his emotions anymore. It was like his whole world collapsed, what he was feeling at that time was sadness no one could ever surpass. His beloved woman, the very woman he always protected and cared for...was laying there in front of him—souless. He screamed, letting the world know of the pain he was enduring at that moment. Solaris POV: End of Flashback Until now, even if the scars of the past are starting to heal, I still can't help but blame myself. I could've saved her if I didn't leave her alone. Numerous what ifs are flooding my mind, keeping me awake every night. I wonder if Luna hates me. At this point, I kept asking myself... What's the point of living in a world without her? I snapped back to reality when my phone rang. It was Kairos, one of my best friends. I sighed—seriously, what does this guy want? I answered the call and brought my phone in my ear. "Kai? What do you want again? I swear if this is not important at all you're dead." I firmly said. Kairos just laughed from the end of the call. "Relax, I just wanted to remind you that Theo invited us to go to his bar." Kairos said as his laughter dies. "Do I have to? Kai you know me, I hate crowded places" I replied. Ever since Luna died, I became a totally different person and my best friends knew that. "Seriously bro, it has been a long time since you came and had fun with us. I know Luna won't like it either if you keep isolating yourself." Kairos advices. I know that. I sighed, " I told you can't, I'm busy at the company. Maybe next time" I firmly said then before Kairos could complain I ended the call. After taking a deep breath I finally stood up and walked back to my house. Today I was going to visit Luna's grave before heading towards my company. Carrying a boque of purple tulips that I bought, I went to the memorial wearing an expensive suit. In front of Luna's grave, I knelt down and placed the boque of purple tulips she had always loved then light two candles. I smiled, "My love, I brought your favorite flower. I remember you had always loved them." I giggled and gently caressed her grave. My smile faded the moment I remembered her smile, the echoes of her laughter and the way she looked at me with pure love. Even until now, even if two years had already passed the longing I had been tortured with still lingers. And until now, I still can't find who the murderer was. All I had was a crippled piece of paper with a note that I found near Luna's dead body... I sighed and said my goodbyes to Luna then headed to my company, The Celestials Maison. I swear...I am determined to find that killer...
