Chapter NineHarley Sipping her iced coffee, Harley looked at her watch. Her mother had asked to meet her on Main Street at eleven o’clock. She hadn’t given specifics other than for shopping. That had probably been a quick, automated response while her mother had taken a business call. Harley had the whole day off and had hoped to meet up with Lily after she was done with work. Spencer had some things to catch up on and was staying late at work. He usually just worked from home when there were things that needed finished, but she could understand how some things just needed to be done in the office.
