Chapter Thirty Eight Things Arrive On Friday morning I send Christy to school by bus and await the carpenter. I’ll need some simple modifications done to the den, my bedroom and the laundry/cleansing room which are within my capabilities, but on second thought find it is best to have installed professionally. Ceiling hooks, heavily gauged, screwed well into the beams hidden beneath the plaster. “Plants,” I simply explain to the carpenter, “some hanging vines which will become heavy with growth.
